I was certain that in the service schedule there would be something that clearly implicates the mileage Jaguar anticipates before recommending rebuild.
For instance; replace timing chain at 100,000 miles- then one could say ah ha that it! because it would absolutely be replaced in a rebuild.
There is absolutely nothing I could find even on the Rover service schedule. Spark plugs, but they could argue that we expected original ones to be reused.
Perhaps the service advisory for the techs has something definite.

I've looked (online) at practically every car for sale in the US for the last three years. The highest mileage X150 I saw was at over 290,000 miles. It was not a misprint: the Carfax confirmed the mileage through routine service appointments. It was an '07 N/A 'vert. The carfax did not show any major engine work aside from the usual: i.e. belts, etc. If you can pull this carfax up (it was listed here on the forum somewhere...I'll look for it and post when I find it) it would at least demonstrate that these engines can go for many miles. On a side note, has anyone seen an X150 with more than 290,000 miles?

It gives the VIN as "VIN B00608" which is obviously a partial VIN. I'm sure you could use this to pull up a Carfax. Only one example, but it could be useful as an example of how far these engines can go.
