Default Engine sputter and stalls: P0193, P0087, P0088

Hi Novice here :-)

My 2006 4.2 XK intermittently sputters and then stalls, mainly whilst at idle on traffic but recently whilst driving.

Initial code was B100A Fuel pump authorisation, with P0193, P0087 and P0088 codes.

I cleared the codes drove around but now only get P0193, P0087, P0088 codes.

I changed the fuel filter but error codes returned.

Reading through some forums people have suggested replacing the Fuel rail pressure sensor.

Has anyone had this same issue and how did you resolve it?

thanks

What is the fuel pressure during one of the episodes you describe? Fuel pressure should be around 3 bar for correct fuel delivery.

Connect to the PCM via the OBD port using a Bluetooth interface and a smart phone with the Torque app. Fuel pressure is one of the items you can check in real time.

I'm assuming you're in Windsor, Bucks; lovely place this time of year.

Here is an interface for 10 quid you can use with a smart phone:

Thanks, unfortunately I have no access to an Android device as I only have an iOS Apple device.

I will try later this week to use my fault code reader gadget to see if there’s a pressure reading in the interface.

Out of interest what can we deduce from finding out the pressure reading? Faulty Fuel Rail pressure sensor or faulty fuel pump or ????

Thanks for your time.

does anyone have the part number for the hose from the throttle body to the hat? I was told it only comes as a complete unit. over 300 dollars, I have seen the other threads about possible alternatives, but i would prefer the OEM if possible. Was having the exact same issue as stated earlier and same exact numbers on LTFT. Replaced the parts listed as well as those tiny hoses, which required crazy research to find the part numbers, they were disintegrated.

You should post your question with a little more info. Year, model, trim, etc... should be in your signature so we know what car you have.

Are you sure you are posting to the right thread? There are no 'parts listed' or 'tiny hoses' in this thread.
