Got a question - When I purchased my 2015 XK Coupe last year, I was surprised it did not have a 5 CD changer, only a single CD.
Earlier models did have a 5 CD changer, correct?
Can I replace my single CD unit with a 5 CD changer (plug and play)?

 

Huh, I thought every one was a six-disk. You do know there's only one slot for inserting every disk, right? Have you selected CD on your Input device? There should be six disk indicators, with only the ones actually holding something available.
Also, which helps a LOT, you can put like 200 .mp3 files on a single disk, they will play. Do NOT convert to "CD" though, they have to be .mp3 files. Six X 200 = a LOT of tracks.

 

AND… the CDs go in the slot in the dash, that unit in the trunk is the navigation system, with a single DVD in it.

 

Yea, I had expected a 5 (or more) CD capability as well. When I purchased the car, I went to my local Jag dealer. They printed out the car's service history and Build Sheet. The Build Sheet indicates an In-Dash Single CD Player. In the car, CD changer will accept only 1 CD. Not a big deal as I have a bunch of music on a USB drive . . .

 

Weird. B&W system with only a single CD, makes you wonder about the person that selected the options for that car.

 

I looked back at the MY2015 brochures - no mention of a 5 CD changer. My guess is Jag put in a less expensive Single Cd player as music was moving away from the CD format. Would still be curious if I can switch it out with a multiple disc player.

 

My 2015 only has a single CD changer as well. Had the same questions as the OP. I carry a small book of old CDs for nostalgia. Dug them out of a box that hadn't seen daylight in probably 10 years. Bought the Bovee 1000. It's the best accessory I've ever bought.

 

Bruh you still play CD's? Easy fix! Your blue tooth work right. Youtube/Youtubemusic account and you will have every song made in the world at your disposal. P.s. Im not a Youtube rep.
