That's really the only time I worry ...

Detectors are effective if detecting - hopefully before you are seen - Jammers ( I am guessing this was the real question) work when they go off - mine has gone off once in 4 months - it jams for 7 seconds then cuts off - so you have 7 seconds to get it under control - I was maybe 1/8 of a mile when the guy tagged me - if I was blowing 120+ however, I could not hear the warning for either if my top was down - can't hear the radio really either - some Japanese verts are putting speakers in the headrests - not a bad idea.

I just came across a radar display mounted in a rearview mirror in a Ferrari. I was told it came from Radar-Mirror.com, has anyone ever tried them? I checked the webpage and they appear to have a lot to offer.

I have a front/rear K40 with laser front end built into my XK. The front units are mounted in the license plate frame, the inside units (two blue lights and two tone buzzer) are mounted in the dash right in front of the steering wheel. The control unit is bluetooth and I keep it in the center console. I'm not sure where the rear detector is mounted, I forgot to ask but it can't be seen from the back of the car. system works well and K40 will pay for your first citation if you "earn" one within 12 months on installation.

I'd love to be wrong ...
Yeah, for laser the detectors are fairly useless. The V1 picks goes off whenever there is an Infiniti FX or QX around but otherwise, the laser guns measure your speed so quickly that by the time it goes off they've already got you.

I've been saved by my 9500ix against laser twice so far thanks to distance and scatter...

I'll also be the first to admit I got nailed with an "instant on KA" while running my 9500 , so as stated earlier, the environment is key.

Yeah, that sucks lol. I've had the V1 in my cars for the last 6 years and I think it's saved me twice from laser. I honestly don't see many cops running laser around here though.

Yes - I used this service. He's based out of Plano, TX. You send him your mirror and the remote display for your radar system. In about a week you get your mirror back with the display "invisibly" placed.
He does a very nice clean job.
Worth every penny.
