Default Evoque Red Aluminum Paddles on XKR

So I received my first set of the red aluminum paddles for my Range Rover and so I decided to try them on my XKR and they work! Upshifts and downshifts all work with the paddles. The only downside is the +/- does not light up.

I've also received a set of the F-Type bronze paddles and I'm sure they will work also as they are the same connector. The F-Type paddles feel grippier...somewhat like a rubber coating compared to my plastic feel on the plastic paddles that came with the XKR. The F-Type paddle's don't light up though.

The red and bronze shifter that came in today was from the UK dealer (took only 1 week) and they were cheaper than my US dealer price. My 2nd set of red aluminum paddles that I ordered from my US dealer still hasn't arrived yet. Will put them in my rover.

As mentioned before from Mike V, there are silver aluminum ones also.

Those look good. They are a good bit longer than the factory paddles, correct? Where did you order them from and what was the ballpark price? Was it difficult to install them?
Thnx

The red ones are parts no: VPLVS0187. You'll need to contact a Land Rover dealer.

The +/- are cutouts. They are the same size as OEM I believe...didn't really measured them though.

I was wrong..the F-Type paddles do light up. I decided to put the red ones onto my Evoque and the F-Type bronze on my XKR.

I will have another set coming in next week and I'll let it go for $400 including ground shipping within the U.S. I'll post for sale once I get them in.

If anyone wants to compare pricing, I bought mine from about $400 including air shipping from the UK and took about a week. Pricing all depends on the conversion rate for the day from pounds to dollars. I bought mine Duckworth Land Rover UK. Duckworth Parts - Genuine Land Rover - Range Rover - Jaguar - Isuzu Parts and Accessories
I dealt with Dan Roberts from Duckworth. His email is: danroberts@duckworth.co.uk

Good guy and big on the Evoque/Land Rover forum. Just email or call him and ask about pricing for the red aluminum paddle shifters that Tom bought for his Evoque/XKR.

I will have another set coming in next week that I bought from my US dealer at $495 but I'll let it go for $400 including ground shipping within the U.S. I'll post it on the for sale section once I get them in.

I'll post more pics in alittle bit.

BTW...really easy to install. There's a torx screw right behind the shifter (I had to turn the wheel to get to it). Unscrew it and the paddle wiggles out. There a wire connecter in which you push the tab from behind and pulls right out.

So here's my red ones on my Evoque. I'll keep the red paddles on the Evoque as it'll match my red rotary shifter.

Here's the F-Type bronze paddles on my Evoque (for fun).

Here's the F-Type bronze paddles on the Jag. It'll stay on the Jag as I rather not have 2 red paddles on both cars. It'll also match my bronze calipers... They light up light blue.

It looks like the evoque paddles stick up higher from the pics vs. the bronze ones.

Thanks for sharing. I wonder why the Jag parts guy told me these wouldnt work...what a n00b. I think I am going to get a set in silver aluminum.

Default Fantastic!

That's awesome GR, I'm psyched those worked out for you! "I love it when a plan comes together!" (The A Team)

Plus now you're shifters match your calipers "You gots to coordinate!" (from the Movie Boomerang)

I'm on a Hollywood quote kick today...

CONGRATS!

Thanks Mike! Sorry about my Hawks beating your Bruins in 3OT last night.

Matt is correct...the red paddles are taller than OEM and F-Type paddles.

Woah, your illumination is green, not white. My 10 is white -- I guess they changed it at some point in time. I do like the bronze, it looks great!

I know...the green is old school. Alittle archaic in my opinoin. Definintely prefer the white.

Had white on my Lexus, and was glad to be rid of it.
I have light sensitive eyes and white was very annoying for nighttime driving. (Although Green is not a whole lot better, it is easier on me.)

By far, the best Lighting was my Audi with the blood red illumination.... Really optimized and extended your night vision...

Ghostrider,

I am not as excited about the paddle shifters as much i am about the interior in your Evoque.

Did you order it that way? Beautiful interior - nice choice.

My 2nd set of red aluminum paddle shifters arrived and I'm going to be selling them as I decided to go with the F-Type bronze paddles in my XKR.

If anyone is interested, I'm selling the 2nd set here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/p...hifters-97176/

They are brand new....picked them up at the dealer on Saturday and never used or installed.

Uh hum... tied up 1-1, home ice tonight baby!

I have a buddy that's a Penguins fan and I was cruel enough to email him a facebook photo of Bears eating... entitled:

"PENGUIN, Its what's for dinner."

Lol, I still laugh about it... hopefully I can keep laughing.

LOL...definitely concern for the Hawks. Bruins dominated the 3rd and OT last game.

Your defenseman Chara is huge! He looks like a giant skating among boys.

I hope this doesn't happen to my Hawks tonight...LOL

I saw the part number for the red Evoque shifters. Do you also have a part number for the F type shifters?

THANKS

Sorry...when I ordered the bronze shifter from Dan @ Duckworth UK, he knew what part I was talking about and ordered it so I'm not sure what the F-Type Bronze Shifter is called. I'm sure you can call any Jag dealer to order it.
