OK, you get a lot of over crackle especially in the downshifts when you are in "sport", I really like that. You lose a little bit of the throbbiness of the stock exhaust in favour of a howl. Personally I really liked the throb, so I was a little disappointed when it went, but I think it sounds a lot different outside to inside, everyone love the note especially under the heavy boot. Is yours the 5.0?

Great news Damian!...I'm also waiting for your results. My plan is the same as yours (just do the X-Pipe and keep the back box). Hoping your results are what we are both seeking. And super excited that the Black ones are louder.

Cheers, well you will get grumbling from the back whenever you take your foot off the accelerator, with full on crackle and pop especially with engine braking, say in sport or with the dynamic mode on. But listening to the sound on my mate's clip of the car at the track, it was like sonic boom when I really planted the foot. But because of the fixed glass in the back, only those with the 'vert's get to enjoy that to the fullest.

Well coming in early this morning I had the opportunity to put my foot down with the windows down. It is an awesome sound, it starts as a bit of a howl but under heavy acceleration it gets a sharp "blap blap blap" noise (hard to describe, but it really sounds like it means business). You'll love it.

Update on the headers, posted over in the F-type area as well and wanted to add some pics here.

All material is in, I'll start fabbing everything up shortly. The collectors look great and are blended internally for a nice smooth transition. Under boost pressure a 4-1 should be a good start. I'll build a tri-y setup as well.
Flaring the 1.75" tubing to meet the oblong shape port for a smooth transition.
The throat diameter is tuned to 500-600hp, which should be ideal for this setup. I will have an alternate collector for when I bump the boost up with a Whipple upgrade. (I'm working on all the CAD data on this now, Hat and supercharger scanned, just need to do the elbow to throttle).
I've attached some eye candy. I'll get this rolling possibly this weekend.

Xpipe and Cat fixtures are in the works, I'll be able to provide factory replacements in the next few weeks. With and without cats 200 cell or 400 cell, Mid-pipe will be x-pipe (or H-pipe) if one desires.

On my to do list is a rear muffler design, one thing at a time though. I'll have 06-09 split plenum induction in carbon fiber shortly as well. Proto will be highlighted in another thread.

Regards,
Derek Fricke

Will be replacing the non-performance but active exhaust... so this one is going to be MUCH more free flowing and louder!
