Facelift Steering Wheel

Hi all. I have a 2007 XK convertible and I'm interested in retrofitting the facelift steering wheel, does anyone know if they'd be compatible? One would think they are. All the internals look the same, even the airbag looks like it will transfer over. Thanks in advance.

It works fine (as long as you pick a heated/whatever features you have now). However you need to replace steering wheel and both controls (volume and cruise control). Airbag and this R-badge thing in the bottom fits.
One remark - facelift controls have a different backlight - green vs teal/blueish. It may look weird if you start mixing backlight colors. But to have it sorted out it is a major interior change...
Been there, done that.

My observations:
1. Your 2007 steering wheel has 3 rotary controls - 2 on the left and 1 on the right. The replacement wheel has 4 rotary controls - the additional control on the right is for Adaptive Cruise Control. I don't know if installing it will throw an error code. ACC was standard equipment for the 2010 model, and optional thereafter. I suspect that your replacement wheel is from a 2010, as most 5.0L X150 models don't have ACC.
2. Your 2007 steering wheel is rare because it has the wood trim that was available only in 2007. If that wood is in decent shape, you may want to re-dye and restore the leather. It's an inexpensive and easy DIY process and you don't have to remove the steering wheel. That's what I'd do before replacing it. See:

Alternatively, you may want to have that wheel professionally restored.
Your car, your money, your choice.
