I could be mistaken but I believe there's other differences between the Dynamic and R-S besides ECU map and interior/exterior cosmetics. The R-S had forged uprights with different camber than standard and I believe the steering rack was different too. There was an R-S e-diff map as well but perhaps it was applied to the Dynamic as well.

While I would love to have an /R-S (other than fishy-mouth), I'd not really NEED it. I don't track anymore, and I don't put a lot of miles on the /R I already have. Owning an /R-S would be wasted on me. While I don't mind already having the extra power with the -S tune I added, all that steery-back-and-forth and high-g turning stuff isn't what I do or need. Having the body kit would be nice however, merely in the aesthetical realm.

You maybe thinking of the XKR-S GT. The Dynamic and R-S have the same suspension and steering rack. The R-S GT has the same steering rack as the F-Type.

There is a complete thread on this.

As far as I can tell you are getting the speed pack, and the suspension from the XKR-S, but no extra power. How did people find the ride/handling difference?
I currently have a very good but not quite concours 2012 XKR with 49000 miles and can't stop looking at dynamic r models for sale online.
Totalled my XKR u see in my profile pic by hitting a curb and the wheel went up through the fender and knocked the hood crooked. Now I got my hands on a 2013 XK dynamic R and it's the 1 i always wanted.I noticed it's more comfortable than the plain XKR i guess cause of the suspension where u can feel every bump in the road with the XKR i use to have and the XK dynamic R hit those same bumps and you feel little to no impact from it.I noticed acceleration is a lot smoother where it wants to glue your head to the seat more than the XKR does
