This is what Porsche does on their new cars. I had to do that with my 2014 Porsche Cayman 981.

Proper engine break in is..
1)press the button with the car and squiggly lines behind it(traction control)

seriously though the best engine break in is no constant rpm for ring seal. But the thing is that most all new tech rings are low tension fast seating. Youre only really concerned with piston ring seating nothing else needs a break in. Most ring manufactures ive used recommend non constant engine speeds and no synthetic till first or second oil change for best ring seal guarantee. But again , todays engines are not like engines of our youth. Or uts depending on location
