I was interested to know how close my own XK Signature was to the end of production and asked Jaguar CRC for the VIN of the last vehicle. They refused stating Jaguar will not allow release of production numbers. However, by punching consecutive VIN's into TOPIx I found they stop at B56794. This assumption has been confirmed on JHT website. The red XKR Coupe SAJAC45R7FMB56794 was the last vehicle off the line on 24th July 2014 and was also donated by JLR to Jaguar Heritage Trust :
And the answer to the production figure JLR were so keen to conceal is a total of 56415 vehicles.

I had expected that after going to the trouble of setting up a group photo they could have made sure the build date wasn't obscured by a hand! Further research confirms the date as 20th December 2005.
The white XK in the final production photo was something of a mystery. It is the penultimate XK in Polaris White. A naturally aspirated Coupé that was the last customer car delivered to Rybrook Jaguar in Chester.
Is the incrementing part of the VIN shared across models or is that just for the X150 (i.e. the bit after SAJAC45R7FM)? My Dynamic R is close to that final number so curious how near the end it was.
The Bxxxxx part of the VIN is assigned sequentially and there are no "batches" reserved for Coupe or Convertible / Normally Aspirated or Supercharged. For example, my XK Signature Coupe could have been followed down the line by an XKR Dynamic Convertible.
By simple subtraction from B56794 you can tell how near the end of production your Dynamic R was built.
After purchasing my XKR Dynamic R I looked on Topix & the build date was stated as September 14
All other information Vin Number/Body panels suggested a May build date
I enquired about the build date with Jaguar & was surprised by their response that production was extended to satisfy unfulfilled orders

Actually in the automotive world 56,000 cars sold over ~10 years is a somewhat low number.
Less than 23,000 of the 56,000 sold in the US. Now I feel more exclusive! LOL.
The other question to ask is how many were xk , xkr or xkr-s. Then how many were coupe vs convertible. I suppose you can still breake it down to portfolio and dynamic r . The more you break it down will let you see how exclusive your car is.

I was able to find a breakdown of sales by Coupe/Convertible and Normally Aspirated/Supercharged for the X100 a few years ago but cannot find similar details for X150. However, the sales figures by market can be found here:
Wolfman - You seem to be in the wrong Forum. This Forum is for X150's which were sold starting in 2006 in the UK and 2007 elsewhere (not sure about the European Continent). Anyway it looks like you should go to the X100 Forum.
