where are you at ? I'm in San Diego and we go drag racing all over, I only had an issue once in my convertible.

2008 XKR Convertible, (mods: AlphaJagTuning ECU Tune , 1.5lb pulley, (200cel cats( are now melted), xpipe, Bosch 001 pump, 180 Thermostat.
Drag strip : 7.9sec 1/8mi 90 MPH . 1/4 mile 12.55 at 111.98mph
432rwh Dyno on Mustang Dynometer , Approx 511 crank HP.
2013 XJ 5.0 Supercharged, (stock with Alpha Jag ECU tune), estimated power: 600+ hp, 7.7sec 1.8th mi/95mph

Next big thing I want to do is the Texas mile,,its a one mile race, unfrotunately they just ran this past weekend so next one wont be for another couple months,
but I think the jag will be more in its element there.
As for convertibles ,the Jaguar comes with rollover protection built in,, so long as the body is not modified
you should have any problem running your car,, Alamo is an NHRA track and are pretty strict and had no problem with my car,
The Texas Mile wont let convertibles run without a roll bar but they will let ones with factory roll over protection run.
They tell you to print out your factory information on the system just in case someone asks.
You do have to run a full face helmet in a convertible as opposed to an open one in a coupe.
Not always enforced but they warned me this last time so I went ahead and ordered one, I also have an SFI jacket and SFI driving Gloves.
Have those for my faster cars but take them for whatever I run,better safe than sorry.

I have a V6s

any recommendations on mods

also I thought they weighed 3600Lb curb weight roughly?

must be talking another car ?

Jaguar f type s convertible curb weight is 3558LB

Many thanks for the clarification. Had no idea they were so light compared to the X150 convertible.
