Flat Spotting?

![Question](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I am having a flat spotting problem with the Dunlop Sport Maxx tires as when the car sits overnight the tires are already flat spotted and the ride is brutal for the first mile or so, any one here have/had this issue? Also notice a shimmy in the steering wheel between 55 to 65. My car was a July build meaning it sat for 7 months until i got it. My dealership said they will replace the tires which is great but I'd like to know if this is an isolated issue and would also like to know what rubber your car has and your satisfaction.
Thanks
Thanks

Try this experiment:
When approaching home, slow down to let the tires cool.
This theory is based on the fact that many people drive fastest in their own neighbourhoods because they know the territory. This leaves the tires hot just as they are getting ready to park overnight. Cool tires are less likely to flatspot.
If this fixes it, then changing tires will leave you with the same problem unless you keep on cooling the tires before parking.

Mine have terrible flatspots for the first while. After I got the car, I took them to my little local autoX shop and had them pull the tires. They're balanced, but out of round. I was assuming that was because my car had sat for so long (1.5 years or so, to be precise). I was just planning on replacing them with PS2s.

Plums, thanks for the suggestion but to get to my home requires about a two mile drive down a street with a 35 mph limit so they have a chance to cool, problem is the flat spotting occurs the next morning even after the prior days slow speed errand run.
Rahtok, yes I think the once the car sat dormant for more than 6 months plus the fact the Dunlop Sport Maxx's are reported to flat spot easily is our problem. Thankfully I caught this early enough where the dealership will replace the tires. Michelins are the way to go and if you have 20's the Pilot Super Sports are the ones.
