Happy Spring Folks! For those of us North we get our cars out! I have a 07 XK8, both passenger front and back fog lights are out. Im lost with electronics so rather than buy a bulb to trouble shoot I will ask the good folks on here if its possible bot lights on one side can go out for another reason than the bulb?

All of the above is correct for the 4.2L X150 models. The 5.0L models have two backup lights, one on each side.
The reason for the single rear fog light on the driver's side is for drivers behind you to know where the center line of the road is. On LHD cars, the center line is on the driver's left. It's the opposite on RHD cars.
An easy way to have 2 backup lights on North American 4.2L cars is to replace the fog light (left rear) with a RHD model's backup light (left rear). They're available occasionally on Ebay.uk. But you'll lose the fog light. Of course, you'll have to rewire that new BU light with jumpers from the existing BU light.
P.S. I prefer the quirky single BU light, as it often draws "Hey, your BU light is out" at the gas station. That's a conversation starter - depending on who said it. And, for me, it's not worth the cost and effort, albeit minimal, to add a second BU light.
