Is it possible to use a shop vac to try and suck what's left in there out. There may be a grommet or something to remove to poke in some small diameter plastic pipe attached to the shop vac hose.

I'm going to take it to the local Brand New Tidal Wave and use their vacuums to suck up the access liquid and I'll use their super duper strong air blaster to clean out that rubber seal! That should fix it let's hope it will...

Its brand new and their air is amazing

Sounds like it’s time to get underneath and see what is below that hole. Look for dampness in the area to see if something else is throwing liquid towards that spot (brake line, transmission, differential, fuel pump, whatever). There’s also a small pump up behind the left rear wheel well that provides vacuum to run the exhaust valves, but don’t think that could have produced that much liquid if it leaked. Weird.

I wonder if the drivers side window was left cracked open (done that myself) and rain got in there and wasn't completely removed in half **** dry/cleanup job?

Could have been... well it won't be getting anymore liquids inside except maybe bottled water lol 😂

Will keel the replacement seat and cushion off for this entire to week to see if any liquid water or otherwise comes upbfrom this spot.

Now its all dry

Cleaned up the spots of liquid... all dry at the moment

Looking good, you might have some more if you drive up hill and it sloshes around. Hopefully you got it all. Good thing is that is not ferrous metal.

The solid grommet in your photo is above the fuel tank.
The source of your latest "leak" is likely residual weeping from the seat back.
My guess is (1) hatch gasket near the top or (2) residual "flood" water.

Examine under the seats. A flood will usually cause rapid corrosion on unprotected steel, seat rails and structure.

Please keep us posted.

Could the sticky ooze be saturated and congealing leather? It gets sticky and oozy when wet and it breaks down.

It may have, and that's what caused it to be sticky since it was sitting in cushion pad which has spray glue on it from the factory including parts of the seat cushion itself...

it ruined both the seat armrest and the seat pad of foam underneath it...

The pad underneath the seat is trash... so me and my Mom came up with an ideal replacement lol see attachment photos 📸.

The ooze lol

This will not be going back in the car...

The seat is junk... the Leather is cardboard hard! Luckily I have perfect replacement 👌

Mom traced the outline of the crap seat sponge thats coated in the ooze and cut it from the rug mat...

This carpet mat we found at Dollar Tree 🌳 for $1.25 and its a perfect replacement for the destroyed rear seat mat!!

Could it be seepage from the foam? I can't think of anything that would be leaking back there in a coupe.

It could be since it's the only thing that was doing it from the car... That middle pad and rear seat bottom. I hope no one else has this problem with their Coupes...

It's crap to deal with but it must be dealt with...

I wonder if you could use a small rolling pin or something similar and tried to press the fluid out of the foam. I don't know what the foam is, but water might be slowly dissolving it and making the seepage look more like hydraulic fluid...

I pressed the foam and squeezed as much goo out with a hammer 🔨 and a paper towel to get what I could out of it, and put the pieces of crap to bake out in the sun 🌞 hoping to at least get the liquid out... it's so greasy you guys...

Greased up towels...

This stuff smells like old glue lol

FYI, the original leather in your car's premium leather and the replacement part you purchased is Ambla vinyl, not leather.

It's ok though for now, because I'm not putting that greased up junk back in the car lol

I had to enlarge the photo on my phone to see the difference. jahummer is right.

Genuine leather is smooth, without any texture. (Not shown - only the center sections of the front seats are perforated).

Vinyl is not smooth, and has a pebble grain finish.

I found water under both rear seats, I dried it out properly and it never returned.
I tried running a hose over the car with the speaker panels and seats stripped out but I couldn’t find any leaks.

Once I got all and any liquid still left out I finally got to put it the new pad and lower seat and armrest.

It turned out pretty good if you ask me considering these are replacment parts from a 2014 XK...

The $1.25 carpet mat from Dollar Tree 🌳 to the old foam mat that smells like old grease lol...

Carpet side up

The new replacement seat from the 2014 XK

The replacement compared to the old jacked up seat...

Snuggled in...

Put the replacement armrest back in...

Looks better for sure!

This will do for now 😉! Looks better than before...

I had a gas leak coming from that exact flange,

this is very suspicious that perhaps someone tried to clean up a gas leak from the fuel tank access port.
Check under the rubber grommet and verify your flange isn't leaking. my car is the same year as yours.
