Default Front Caliper Bolts for the 2007-2009 XKR

Does anyone know the part number for both the caliper bolts and the slide bolts? 2007 XKR, front brakes. Bolts have a T50 Torx. RockAuto and Amazon are both incorrect and send smaller bolts.

Hi,

Just checked my parts list and the bolts WERE C2C27237 but that has been superceded to C2D27400. There are two types of guide pins listed, the first being 12mm diameter (C2C27297) and a 16mm version
(C2C29162). Both those numbers are current. The aforementioned is for standard braking systems (ie - NOT Alcon or Ceramic as per XKR-S). Hope that helps.

I just measured mine and ordered a bunch from McMaster Carr. Much cheaper than buying oem - at least for my Alcons it was.

UPDATE:

If your XKR is fitted with Alcon front calipers the original part number was C2C27237 (M12 x 35mm). That number was superceded by C2D27400 (Still available).

Five bucks for OEM isn't unreasonable.

Be careful, I think many caliper bolts have high strength steel specs. Standard bolts may fail....not safe for brakes.

Yes good point. McMaster has many alloys and types, I made sure they were high tensile strength with the same class as the OEM ones.

I don't use "BOTS" though. Seems like a copout or something.

I did find some third party guide bolts for $10 that say they work for XKR, hopefully these finally work. The 5 bucks for the other bolt is totally fine. The $25/each plus $18 shipping for guide pins from the dealer is obnoxious.

Well that didn't work. People keep sending Dorman HW5025 and that is the wrong bolt! Amazon, Rock Auto, and another ebay seller who specifically listed it as working for XKR.

The real bolt is M12 thread by about 36mm. May just try McMaster before I break down and spend $90 on 3 bolts from Jaguar.

Also, another reason why I like SNG, they usually list the actual size of the bolt:

I think this guide pin is standard for a lot of cars. Why is it so hard to find? At least in the US. I saw several UK shops selling C2C27297 for around 10 pounds for 2 of them. But in the US, it's either the wrong bolt listed and they send you that dumb Dorman bolt that's way too small, or $25 plus $18 shipping for one!

I may try this one,
it's reasonable and the actual part number is listed it's reasonable and the actual part number is listed
, although with a space in the middle of it making it nearly impossible to find.

yes that’s the skinny pin for the rear, it’s the same as the dorman you ordered. it’s been used since the beginning of time.

Holy HELL despite being listed with C2C27297 on that amazon link AGAIN I got those goddamn 9mm bolts. 0 for 4 on this. I'm about to give in and just pay $90 for 3 fing bolts from the dealer. The correct front caliper bolt is M12, 72mm in length, and has a T50 head.

This isn't right either, this is listed as M10 when I just measured the other bolt in my caliper as M12

The top bolt is the working guide pin that came out of my 2007 XKR. The C2D27400 (Caliper bolt) I already ordered is correct and fits. The guide pins from Amazon, Rock Auto as being compatible with this exact model (and C2C27297) are not compatible. The bottom bolt is the stupid small bolt I keep getting over and over and over and over.

Can't be right, it says m10 when I just measured my bolt as m12. All jag sites list the bolt as 12mm
