I did notice if you put the car in reverse the front sensors go on until you are finished parking .

I don't have a problem with manually activating the front sensors. It's become habit now. The only issue is that the button is on the ceiling in my jag, and on the dash in my other vehicle. So I'm always reaching for the wrong place when I switch vehicles.

I wouldn't want the automatic turn-on at low speeds because it shuts the radio off when it activates. I'd lose my music every time I came to a stop light.

Worse than that, I wouldn't want to mistakenly press the home link for my garage door instead as I'm halfway into my garage!

Agree....

I did that once....not with the Jaguar....and the result was NOT good.

I backed out when I thought the garage door had opened. What a PITA that was. I am glad garage doors are made in replaceable sections.

When I was about 10 years old I opened the car door just as my dad was backing it out of the garage. That result was not good, either.

When we first moved into our home, we went across the road to introduce ourselves to the neighbours. The entrance was through a car port. When I pushed the button by the door, thinking it was a doorbell, the garage door started to close - with their car halfway underneath it.

Had a momentary urge to shout "RUN!" to the wife, but settled for frantically pushing the button again. Fortunately, that worked and by the time they got to the door, all was stationary and there were just two strangely flustered new neighbours.

Still, beats "Hi, we're your new neighbours and we're sorry that there's a crease in the middle of your car's roof.. "
