Wow you were right! Alcon rotors
Jahummer— you were right about the alcon rotors. What a bargain. I got the Rotors a bit of a different way. I got them thru amazon and where sold by autoanything.com. They came in a stoptech box with the centric label and part number126.20025. ( thanks for the part number pointer) got the fronts $117 each and free shipping. The box also says premium high carbon rotor. The Funny thing is that on autoanything.com directly it says that the rotor does not fit the xkr. Amazon says it does. I called auto anything and spoke to a “Gregory” and he did confirm that it will fit my xkr. Apparently their website autoanything is not updated. Amazon link Only one issue, after i ordered them price went up to $169 each vs $117.
On this alcon rotors, do you think the oe alcon brake pads From the dealer are best? Any other options that any of you have tried? Maybe Eurospare? Want to make sure i get good pads for this rotors.
Thank you all!
[QUOTE=jahummer;1561855]I bought the rears from AutoAnything with free overnight shipping from Centric as I already had AP racing rings with Spires hats on the fronts. They are not Centric parts, they are not drilled. I spoke directly with the buyer at Centric and his story is entirely plausible. He said since Jaguar made so few XKRs with the Alcon package, it was not worth it to them to tool up for a custom rotor. He bought a quantity once in 2008 when they were made by the OEM supplier. As I mentioned previously they are identical to the Jaguar rotors, I have compared them to be certain, even the crescent slots are identical. There is only one detail that is different but shared with the R performance rotors as well has the Jaguar sourced Alcon rotors, the new ones do not have the word JAGUAR molded inside the vanes. I have no doubt this is because JAGUAR is trademarked, but the brakes themselves are not Jaguar, they are standard Alcon 6 & 4-pot monoblock calipers also fitted to other makes and models, so there is nothing exclusive or proprietary about the rotors.
But for comparison's sake, the first pic is a jaguar sourced rotor and the second pic is on my car. Keep in mind I painted my rotors so the vanes, hats & slots would

OK now, I read this entire thread, why I don't know as I don't need anything Alcon.
This here was real funny!!! I am going to use it on my financial advisor neighbor, hopefully he doesn't interpret as literally as Richzak.
