The digital display will show either mph, mpg, avg speed, range, or total miles/trip miles. I usually choose mph while driving.

Speaking of comfort, you would not like the Xkr-s seats! There are carbon fiber wrapped with leather (feel similar to Porsche bucket seats-gt3rs).
PDk is a great gear box, but almost too good. It's difficult to feel the gearshifts, since it shifts so smooth and fast. The gear box in the Xkr-s (? ZF) is considered the best single clutch transmission by most. Is this the same tranny as the Xkr and Xfr?
I was about to buy a 2011 997 TT S, but went with the Xkr-s due to it's looks, power, sound, comfort features, exclusivity, and more visceral feel. Great car so far, except the 12 mpg!

Pirelli p0. No issues with flat spotting, but a little more road noise than the pS2's that I've had before. I've heard the biggest problem with p0's is that they don't last very long.

Yes, still breaking it in! I drove my evoms tuned 996TT (500 hp) hard and it got 15mpg. A guess that's the difference between a 3.6 L turbo 6 at 3400 lbs and a supercharged 5 L v8 at almost 4k lbs.

Glad to hear that the P0's don't have that problem, my car drives like its rolling on wood blocks for the first half mile, the Dunlops are listed as the most expensive for the XKR but I may have to switch them out to Pilot Super Sports; Michelins have always been my favorite.

I do really love the low end grunt and smooth power of these jag suoercharged engines.
I convinced my neighbor to get a 997TTS cab last year and I see he recently came home with an R8 V10 cab...nice

My 07 997S 6 speed avg'd about 16.5 with consv and spirited driving, my 06 E55 got around 12...gotta be a supercharged V8 thing.

My neighbors TTS was a white cab with black top/int, his new r810 cab is the same. I love the looks of his new Audi which exudes technology and is very exotic but our cars are just pure sex on wheels...IMHO of course

AFAIK, the transmission in the XKs are the same across the board. And it's not a single clutch, it's a slush box -- in other words it has a torque converter. Having said that, it is purportedly one of the nicest slush boxes out there.

I test drove a c63 Amg coupe, which I think has a dual clutch, and there was a definate delay between pulling the paddle and gear change. I have read reviews on the upcoming c63 black series and there only big knock on this car was this gearbox.
