I kind of need a place that can take the wheels off,do them, and put them right back on.
I wouldn't even know how to change my tire, so I certainly wouldn't attempt taking it off!
But thanks for the info, the black chrome looks great!

Should be able to find a place easily. Re-conditioning wheels is pretty common. I'd ask a local autobdy shop where they send wheels to.

Do you have a 2nd set of wheels or just gonna put the car on blocks until they return?

I found 2 places in Dallas that can do it in two days, wheel technologies and wheels america. so If I take it to them they can just keep my car overnight. That sounds the easiest...

Kelly, you'll likely have to pick one...otherwise they'll fight over it and get nothing done!

I think you need to get out there and snap us some "before" pics to go with the "afters" you will surely take and post when you get it back?

Likewise what would it cost to get a set of 19" rims chromed?

Just took it in this morning, picking it up tommorow evening. It's anywhere from $150-$200 a wheel for them to remove, strip, paint, and put back on. I would think 19's cost about the same but not sure the price of chromimg vs. powder coating. I'll post pics as soon as its back...

The last few years black wheels was getting a little overplayed (I did it on my Mercedes) but I gotta say your wheels turned out great! Did you go with Wheels America? Wheels America here in Chicago is highly recommended for powder coating.

Thanks Ghostrider. I agree, I wish there were less black wheels in the world, I liked it better when only awesome cars had them. Now you see them on lots of cars. Same with the colored calipers. I ended up going with wheel technologies just because they were much closer to my house than the the other.

How's your husband's UR Lambo coming along? I remember a couple of years back hanging out with my buddy's Viper guys and one guy had a silver UR Viper SRT10 with their twin turbo kit. That car was wickedly fast. I know their TT kit for the Lambos do really well on the Texas Mile runs. It's funny you see Youtube vids of street racing in Russia and other parts of Europe and there you have UR 1500HP Lambos racing other cars.

Did you also look at Hennessey or Heffner Performance? I think they do Lambos also.

Make sure the caps are compatible with the TPMS and are made of a material that will not interact with the TPMS valve stem causing it to fuse to the valve stem over time. Then it might not be so cheap.

Tommy, good call! Hadn't thought of that, I bought some nice looking caps off of Ebay and hadn't thought that they might create an issue. I'll back them out and see if they seated properly. Pretty sure they were just chromed plastic, felt pretty much like the factory set.

Also make sure they have the o-rings in the top of the cap that will prevent dirt and moisture from entering through the valve.

Ghostrider, the Lambo is coming along good, should be ready in 7 more weeks. He did look into Heffner but went with UR because they have done so many of them and had the best options. I have a feeling we will be at the next Texas mile. I better start working on my car so I can keep up!
Tommy thanks for the info on the caps. I ordered some black ones off of eBay but they are from china and only cost $6 so they might suck but the other ones I was looking at are from auto thing.com
