Is this a good deal?

Not around here. You have probably noticed the lack of cars here in the Northeast. Yep you can travel, I did because of the lack of choice here.
Anything I've seen around here in the $35 range is high mileage; in the 50k miles area. Some Jag resources indicate that these cars need expensive shock and bushing work starting around 60k miles; so to me there is a value to low miles. Sorry I can't recall the website I reviewed that discussed suspension needs.

Having just purchased I will tell you that the "reasonably good economy" and stock market going on and off of record levels and it being spring (sports car season), prices are pretty high right now. I wouldn't doubt we could have found better prices around October 2014...but here we are! Just looking at all the usual national car ad sites, $38'ish looks pretty good from here.

One negative about an 'older' car with 'low mileage' is that it may not have been driven enough to cause some of the common failures to occur yet. So the second owner buys the out of warranty 6yo car that has 10k miles and a bunch of stuff breaks before it hits 20k.
BTW, calling 50k miles 'high mileage' is outrageous.

Going by what others have paid is a nice barometer for whether your deal is good or not but irrelevant in negotiating your price with a dealer.
The market decides your price, here is one in Doral Florida that is cheaper with identical miles, but you are in NJ. So you would have to transport ($1700 or so) and maybe even fly down to see it ($300 or so). The other option is to drive it back to Jersey, don't know if you would have the time for that or not!

Other than this car anything with similar mileage is a similar price. Also, if you are looking for a specific color then it reduces the pool of available cars as does limiting to a convertible. That alone adds thousands on top of the Coupe cost others have mentioned.
Good luck, if you like the car go negotiate the deal, it looks to be in line with the market, there are of course some lower some higher, but the vast majority are right in the mix of this starting price with similar mileage.
In the end who cares if you paid $2k more than someone else in some other part of the country, if you are happy with the car and the deal and keep this for 4 years the $2k over that time is irrelevant.

Jaguar, like most businesses, are in it to lose money so buying after market warranties or even Jag warranties are only offered if they are in the best interest of the business selling them. That is not to say there are not some examples of where they paid off but the over whelming percentage make money for the provider not the patron

No one really know why though for sure.

I see this frequently in some cars/CarFaxes - multiple repeat times within a short period of time - or repeated regularly over time. It almost seems like these particular cars have gremlins the dealer can't find so they try to shotgun it and keep replacing things...
No one really know why though for sure.

If anything it shows that the car has all the recent updates.
I am sure some were related to problems. However, by 30,000 miles all those calibrations are sorted out.
