Got to get rid of one
I have decided to sell one of my xk's. Have 09 vert with 48k and 10 coupe with 28k. coupe still has one month full warranty plus 2yr cpo left. Checking prices I think values are pretty close. My wife rarely drives the vert and I find myself alternating which one I drive. Not a bad problem to have as I love both of these cars but have decided to decrease my decadence. Any helpful suggestions from my expert friends on the forum would be appreciated. Thanks

Actually....I honestly never looked at either of your cars....however, it's not a bad color combo. Good luck with whatever you decide. It's only a car. (Are you in SE Florida?)

Congrats on your daughters med school graduation. That's quite an honor for both the daughter and mom and dad. Trading the 2009 XK convertible for a new car for daughter really reminded me of this video.

My parents are in Inverness - sounds like you're near Ocala. Inverness is like purgatory... people there aren't really still living and aren't quite dead - it's the last place they go before they die. The median age is 78 in Inverness!

One drawback: My recently retired boss has a DB9. He was at his grandson's football game in early October and a blue truck backed into his rear end and drove off. Several people saw it, but didn't get the license plate number. It wasn't a huge amount of damage, but enough that the fender, rear lights, trunk and a number of other items need to be repaired or replaced. I had lunch with him the last week of November and we were going to park our cars (my XK) next to his and note the similarities and differences...but he showed up without his AM.
I said "Where's the car?"
After a flurry of colorful profanity, he told me the story of the blue truck and then said "it gets worse". He said that the car has been at the repair shop since early October and that they've been having trouble getting parts, he added, it turns out they have to coordinate back with the UK and have the parts hand-made and that takes forever. He also added, he's having trouble with his insurance company because the bill was $26,000 and climbing as of the time of our lunch.

My wife and I just watched video, we are very proud of our daughter, it was a no brainer for us to get rid of on one of the jags as we had 4 cars and 2 drivers at home. Just gives me twice as much time to keep the coupe shined.
p.s. LOVE THE Ctek 3300. should have bought one a yr ago, thanks for your advice, bob
