Great service from dealership
There has been some talk about poor service from dealerships.I just bought the 2008 xkr vert. from Hilton Head BMW. (I first heard about the car on this forum, thank you.) I was supposed to pick her up Monday. The dealer called and said they noticed the rear window was seperating from the top. They brought it to the shop and found it could not be repaired and that the entire top had to be replaced. When the service manager spoke to me he said he would take $2000 off the price or get it replaced there and be ready in two weeks. I chose to wait. They even offered to refund my flight. I never asked for any remedy, they offered it. That is what I call good service.

I am not sure why the window separated from the top, but there has been a "thread" on the forum reference his issue. Since it is being repaired, you don't have to worry about it.
The car looks great.

Wow, they seem like they are taking care of you. The is or going to be perfect at the best price out there. It is only 1 of 138 celestial black convertibles
and the ivory interior with the walnut dash looks great. Makes me qustion why I backed out but my wife would have been a little upset with me having two in the garage until I sold mine. I haven't noticed any separation on my back window but will check it out. My car come from the north part of the country and may not have the same issues.
