Noe sure how these will sound, just started playing with my GoPro. Seems awfully quiet to me n the video but much louder IRL.

That's not a terrible price. Mine looks like someone sprayed some stink on them and the plastic bleached where they did. I'm almost afraid to pull the dash apart to sort out some of this stuff.

Ha, the budget is busted until next month but I do appreciate the lead. No updates on the car other than the love hate relationship with the exhaust. I did run it home today on the back roads from work and was sorely disappointed when the green SUV didn't GTFO of the way at the last side road before the really interesting part. Oh well, I did get a couple miles of clear road later and the car handled the rough stuff (old paved farm lane) much better than the kid's Lincoln LS did. It's fun to push the suspension when I'm not doing triple digits. I can really appreciate how well it handles.

OK, three rainy days later I finally gave up on finishing the section of my privacy fence and just tinkering with the car. Decision was made to pop the lamps out and fix them both. The aluminum bracket I made needed thinned out and the passenger side needed the gouges polished out.
So, according to the PO the passenger side was backed into as they were driving by. I had a couple really heavy gouges and some chemical burns to sand out before polishing.
Sanding done, 500, 800, 3000, compound. It took several attempts to get the marks from the 500 grit to go 'away'.
Stood it up and cleared it. During the first pass I noticed that a fleck of green paint was on the lens. I popped it out and went back over it hoping the clear would settle out. It didn't, it gassed off and left a bunch of little bubbles in the coating.
I went ahead and popped them both back in place. I'll deal with the little bubbles down the road once it cures.
In the meantime I went ahead and applied some more of the Chinese carbon fiber vinyl to the sprayer covers. They actually pop off of the sprayers. Figured I'd take a pic of the part numbers for the future. I like them not chromed so I may try to strip and paint them down the road.
And of course a fuzzy picture that is too dark to show anything.
Overall the day pretty much sucked. I bought the fence material last night and hoped to have the posts in today but it rained often enough to make post hole digging a swampy proposition. It took two days to remove the old hedge and nasty weed trees with the tractor ripping the root masses out of the ground.
Late last night I found a bunch of pics of the '05 ALC concept car and want to do something similar for the side vent and the air intakes.
The side vent should be easy but the air intake will take some time. Which begs the question, does a K+N filter help these cars? thought being to remove the snorkel behind the bumper and plumb the filters directly to the opening.

Yeah, it's funny how a little TLC here and there makes the car so much more enjoyable. I found a stock '11 Mustang catted H pipe on craigslist that has 60k and plan on looking at it since the one little cloud in the sky just rained hard enough for ten minutes to swamp today's plans on the fence...

Thanks. Pacific is a little pricey. LKQ is another national recycler. Their prices are a bit lower, but the selection is not as broad.

Road trip... 2011 5.0 Mustang cat'd H pipe with 60k miles on them. Other than being round vs. oval they should fit up in the tunnels. Hoping beyond hope this helps diminish the drone as well as keep the check engine lamp at bay.
Can't see it in the picture but the grid is in good shape. It's pretty fine but also has a much larger cross section and length vs. the spun Magnaflow's I installed.
I have a dozen different things to get cleaned up before pulling the car apart (again).
More to come?

Yes, EPA making it tough on the man again for no good reason... Junk yards can't sell them and they are worth @ $120 for the pair in scrap. I never understood the law as it just increases pollution to convert them into raw materials and then make another pair. Since my car is over 60k miles I can do whatever I want to satisfy the state's emissions inspection program.
