Well thanks everyone! I absolutely LOVE my new "Baby". What a machine! I knew I had lots of tinkering ahead of me to bring her up to the quality level I like, but when it dumped it's coolant all over the ground after idling for about 6 minutes, it initiated a whole new outlook on tinkering with my toy. My intent has always been to set a new baseline for the car. New fluid, hoses, brakes, you know, start over again and forget the history (because I don't know it anyway).
Being very apprehensive and not knowing where to start, (I don't even know where the leak is) I slowly start uncovering the engine. Holy smokes - looks like an explosion in a spaghetti factory! Never seen so many hoses in one building, much less engine compartment. So, that's where I'm at... opening it up. My intent is to replace hoses (rumor has it that there is the dreaded hose under the supercharger - are you kidding me? HOSE? Why not a pipe?) Heck an hour ago I was only apprehensive, now I'm slipping into shock.
My first concern is what is the best process to open her up? Secondly, what NEEDS to be removed? Getting parts/part numbers is yet another concern. I've seen a lot of engines in my 73 years but nothing like this. Some items aren't identifiable. I have taken off the bonnet for access. My ramps won't fit under the fascia, so something "simple" will morph into a hell of a job because I expect that I'll need to lift and lower it during the operation. Gads...
So any encouragement, hints, directions etc that you can send this way.... will be appreciated.
Where should I start and with what steps would you recommend? Thanks, in advance, for the help... even prayers are accepted, ha ha.

First and foremost, welcome to the club.
Black bar at the top of the forum, click 'User CP' and find the 'edit signature' section. Add your car and something witty (OR NOT).
Per lifting it, go to Lowes or Home Depot and have them cut you up a 10' 2 x 12" board in to two 3' and two 2' foot sections. Nail or screw them together to make mini ramps (steps). Stop by Harbor Freight and pick up an aluminum three ton jack and four 18" jack stands. Throw your old ramps away.
Some time stop by an Autozone and let them check for OBD codes to see if anything temp related pops up. You need to figure out why it puked before spending money on parts you probably don't need.
Basic questions need answered as well. Where does it puke coolant? Does the fan run before its puking? Do you get over temp warnings from the cluster display?
For humor and knowledge, read my resurrection thread in my signature. Some days you'll love your car and some cuss it. That's the nature of machines. Don't be intimidated by it, it's just a Ford in a sexy body with quirky electronics.

Well crap... I just wrote a long dissertation about the status and hit the "New Reply" button and wiped it all out.
I'll be more brief. I might try the 2X12 idea but I had to buy another jack. I have a 1.5 ton one... probably under sized.
I didn't have any codes The leak was detected and the fan was running.
I found some moisture on the bottom end of the supercharger coolant line on the right side of the front by the radiator, then after removing the air intake on the right, I think I see liquid in the valley. Not a huge shock or disappointment, I planned on replacing that hose anyway. but what a job.
I can't believe you have to tear the entire car apart to do anything. I just found the oil filter.... seriously, you have to take off all the splash shield?
anyway... I hope to be finished to use it this summer.....

If the 'Wind Screen Lower Rain Shield' is what I think you mean, the plastic panel along the bottom edge of the windshield, its glued down. I had to pry mine up to fix a windshield washer hose that had become disconnected from the wiper arm assembly.
