HEADLAMP ISSUES and AFS Question

This is a common problem in Hella modules of the era. Lots (!) of BMW's of the 2000-2010 have this issue with their Hella modules. My '07 530 does; but my '07 328xiT does not. Fortunately, my '07 jag X150 does not. It's a Hella problem -- more often in the Xenon's because of heat.
In the BMW world there were several attempts to get NHSTA to require a recall due to safety, but nothing ever came of it.

Well, heck, we win or we lose. My wiring is like new, but the exterior tabs were damaged in something that the PO did, so I have both a blinking dashboard light and a visual nastiness that should be rectified.
Do I need just one part that makes that blasted blinking light go away?

that broken tab, or you could fashion a piece and using two small bolts and nuts and attach
to the unit. Just took a pic of my left side:

Why not fix it? Look at the link in the post above yours. Very likely a bad ground. Or someone was messing with the suspension and borked the height sensors. You might learn something.

I had luck fixing tabs on my original headlights with a plastic welding kit from Hobo (Harbor) Freight. Melting the metal mesh into the plastic and adding additional material is key. Wasn't pretty but did the job. In the end to fix the blinking ramen noodle light (and have properly aimed headlights) I ended up replacing the assemblies with a good used pair.
