Heated Seat Issue

HOWEVER I am made to wonder....
Heat is relative.... We northern folk think you southern folk are nuts for living in those oven temps down there (remember, our Bermuda shorts and tee shirts come out at 65 degrees, and 80 degrees sends us running for the AC!).
Are there other Florida/Texas folk that can speak up about how "normal" heated seats feel to you?
I personally think XKGuy still has a problem....

I do too, and the heat is not a relative in this case; the seats get "burn your rears" hot - no question. I think they do adjust the intensity whether there is weight on them or not. In the cold morning, I'll start the car outside and go back inside for a few minutes...
When I get in the car, the seats are not as hot as if I was sitting in the car the same amount of time. I drive off and within a minute I am putting the seats to the lowest setting.
My suggestion is if you can do it, go to dealer and try another XK; either a friend or for sale model car and compare outside at same temperature. If your seat is not as hot as the other car, there is still an issue. Sounds to me like the heating element is not up to snuff. Can the amount of current to the seats be an issue?
