Heater Drain

Hi, As Summer has finally arrived in the UK took the XK Convertible for a spin into the countryside. Whilst taking a right hand bend admittedly quite enthusiastically I was surprised to see copious amounts of water being ejected from below the glovebox area in a steady stream. The car is generally garaged but does get cleaned with a pressure washer. I've taken out the cabin filter which was dry and vacuumed out any debris as best I can but can't see any sign of a drain. I'm assuming the water is filling up the heater box somehow, are the holes in the windscreen / door seal, drain channels for the roof?
Any help gratefully received.
regards
Ian

Spit, the forum says you only joined in Feb this year, so am guessing a new purchase?
Has your car had a windscreen replacement recently? Ask as if not the 'common' duckbill issue could be a scuttle drain one if they've not aligned the channels drains...or else they;re full of leaves/detritus.

@Spitjag , “a little musty” can actually be detrimental to your health. There are only 3 bolts that hold the fan motor assembly to its mount. It may be worth your while to take it off and check for mold, etc.
As for the duckbill description, see the climate control section in the Owner’s manual.
There are a number of fixes posted. I’ve forgotten who had posted a thread I think was titled “my fix” . Though I haven’t had the situation yet I was thinking of being preemptive and going that path.

Thanks for the replies, looking at some of the Duckbill posts I have concluded the water is coming from a blocked air con drain. Out in the car last night and with the aircon on I regularly get drips / trickles into the passenger footwell. If I turn the aircon off it stops. Had a feel under the bulkhead and no evidence of any rubber pipe but I will persevere. Tried the trick of running the blower on max with the vents shut..didn't help.
Look like I'm having a fun weekend under the car...sigh.

Just last week, I had a similar experience, with water dripping from the passenger under dash. After looking up all of the forum fixes, I was prepared to attempt this repair.
After lining the right fender with a protective cover, and removing the plastic engine top cover, I reached down to try to locate the small tube that houses the duck bill. Surprisingly, I was able to reach it with my middle finger. Did not need to cut it, just pushed on it a few times, and water began to come out. for reference, I found the duck bill tube, to be located just about center of the car, about 3-4” into the firewall.
tested it a few times, to ensure that it was draining to ground, all good.

Hi and Thanks for the reply. I removed the engine cover and jumped up on the suspension turret and try as I might I can't reach the duckbill tube, (I do have thick hands and stubby fingers) and after reading everything there is to be found on this problem I have fashioned a duckbill shredding tool and am just waiting for Amazon to deliver the scalpel blades and then I'll eviscerate that damn duck. There is no need to reinvent the wheel. See "A/C Drain Duckbill Repair" in the Stickies at the top of this Forum:
