This past Monday, 11/28, I totaled my 2008 XK Coupe (65,000 miles). Driving on a neighborhood street I came around a gentle curve and was blinded by the late afternoon sun, never saw the Amazon delivery van parked on the side of the road. I clipped the van's left rear corner which removed the right front corner of my car. I found the RF wheel across the street. Really, Really loved that car.
Anyway, bottom line is I need another car. I am looking for a 2008-9- or 10 Jag XK Coupe, 4.2, any color BUT black or white, 60,000 miles or less, max $25,000. It goes without saying no flood or accident history. I am not having much luck finding anything anywhere in the US. I hope I am just missing something.
If anyone knows of such a car hiding in someone's garage please let me know by PM.
Yeah, it sure got my attention at the time. Never saw it coming and suddenly one hell of a noise and my world went white (air bag). I am OK with the exception of a painful chest where it got popped by the air bag.

Reason: Insert QUOTE code
In the USA, the 4.2L models are from 2007 to 2009. The 5.0L models were introduced in the 2010 model year.
Search Cars com, Autolist.com, and Autotrader.com. You should search nationwide. You're not missing anything, as what you want is rare - a 10+ year old XK with less than 60,000 miles that's not black or white for under $25,000.
Your beloved XK sacrificed its life to save yours.

I have searched those sites along with Ebay and CarMax. Thanks for the kind words about the sacrifice the car made for me.
Wow. Not doubting you, but I guess these wouldn’t last long in a demolition derby.
The bodies are designed to absorb impact by deforming around the passenger compartment to keep the occupants safe. Effective but never a pretty sight afterwards.

Probably only the engineers that designed it will have a smile on their face after seeing that picture.

You are correct, it would not last long, but I think that is Jag's intent now. Sacrifice the car for the driver. It was not always that way.
20 years ago I was sitting at a stoplight in my 1991 XJS Coupe. Up come two girls in a Toyota Corolla who never saw me or the light. The Corolla was destroyed, totally undriveable, the only damage to the Jag was a broken right rear taillight and a nick in the rubber bumper cover. I could not believe the lack of damage.
The Ford Transit 250 is a fairly heavy vehicle and the force of the collision was concentrated in a small area, I can understand.
I'm surprised that no one mentioned the obvious difference in vulnerability between the aluminum-body X150 and steel-body Ford Transit 250. Ford Transit Vans are made with high-strength steel and boron steel, which are much harder than the aluminum alloy used in the X150.
This is what happens when an XJ-S hits a transit side on at around 40 mph.
I took my '83 XJ-S across Europe to Hungary and on the way back while driving through Calais a woman pulled out of a side street without looking. I desperately tried to avoid her by going behind her but was carrying too much speed to manage to fully turn into the street she was coming out of so mounted the kerb and barrelled into a parked transit. The two French men sitting in it having lunch got a bit of a surprise!
After straightening out a few bits and pieces, my car just needed a new wing and headlight which I took from my old '80 XJ-S that I had sitting around after blowing the engine up on a race track.
Good idea to be suspicious of seriously low-mileage X150's. Just do homework carefully on it. Seems like some of these spend their life as geranium pots, the annual mileage is so low.
Glad your alright, might see the car at my breaker , anyone need parts ? JK JK
If the car does indeed show up at your breakers you might want to pick up the rear tires. They are new Michelin Pilot AS4 with all of 0.6 miles on them. Also a one month old AGM battery. (H8).
