Why don't you get yourself into a xk 5l ???

I am not opposed to a 5L though I don't need an XKR. I manage to get myself into enough trouble without a supercharger. In 7 years of ownership I have had several Troopers point out to me that there is no place in the eastern US where the speed limit is 80+ (G).

I am still negotiating with the insurance company so, as of this morning, I don't know how much money I will have to apply to another car.

Considering any parting out?

I would love to part it out.. The damage is focused on the right front corner and the hood, everything else appears to be fine. The interior is also close to perfect.
Problem is 2 fold, I am rapidly approaching 73 and have no place to do the teardown. I am an ex British car mechanic and shop owner (40 years ago) so I have the skills needed to do the work, but after 2 heart attacks I no longer have the body to do the work. Getting old SUCKS.

That would be a great car for a vocational school to take on as a project.

Indeed it would be a good project. Problem being no matter who parts it out I need the money now to buy another Jag. The totaled car was my daily driver. I HATE walking.

Guys, thanks for all the suggestions. I have found, what I think, is a good deal. It is a 2013 XK with 28,500 miles at a very good price.

I am flying out of Raleigh tomorrow headed to Jacksonville, FL and will be driving it back to Raleigh Tuesday.

Paul.

Since we saw your 'bad luck' hope you post some photos of the replacement. How did you do in regard to the ins settlement?
