2011 XKR, Looked out on her tonight and the driver's side rear side marker light is on continuously! Has anyone come across this problem, and what is the fix?

All other lights are working properly. I might add it has been raining a lot here recently, however the car has not been driven.

Not sure how long it has been on. I last drove it 2 days ago. I have pulled the tail light assembly so the battery doesn't get socked.

You can try to disconnect battery and reconnect it to see if the light is on after..

Came home from working, replaced the rear lens, all was well, scary but I'll take it, right? Wrong. Returned from dinner and the light was aglow. Looks like I'll give the hard reset a go.

The bride had me do a few things before getting back to a hard reset. I had noticed last week that the rear 'vert window was once again separating just a tad. When I purchased it 2 years ago the window was separated badly and I made repairs with the help of some good write ups on this forum. I thought while I was completing her honey-do list I would let her idle with the A/C blasting, lights and hazards on in the hopes that if anything were moist from all the rain and humidity lately it would dry it out. Walked out, gave her a rev just to turn my slight frown into a smile, turned everything off and everything did turn off, including the pesky rear sidemarker. Hard reset not performed, Moisture on a board somewhere????

Possibly low battery. Idling may have charged it enough.

Well, the light is out for more than 36 hrs... Have not done a hard reset. The only thing I can add is that beyond the moisture theory, I had a low fuel warning and low washer fluid warning while this was going on. Also I had not moved the car. Yesterday I once again installed the tail light assy. topped everything off and went for a drive with the top down.

Ah...now we get the full history...the symptom was accompanied by two random warning lights...please accept this: the history is shouting that the battery is the cause of all these symptoms. Yes, they may go away after a run, but until you deal with the battery itself (which is either not fully charged or will no longer accept a full charge) you will not solve the problem.
