Default Help! Seat compatibility

I need seats in my 07 Jaguar XK Convertible but the only thing I'm finding available are seats from an 10-15 model which have the speakers in the rear, other than that they look the exact same as mine. What I cannot see are the connectors. Can anyone help me out here. As long as the connectors works and I have basic functions I would be just fine.

Those are not speakers, they are the Air Intake grills for the Cooled Seats. You can use those seats wonderfully. The cooled seats have a perforated center section and the non-cooled is usually non-perforated.
As far as the connectors so, the later seats probably have provisions for the 16-way seats, so it would depend on the control panel in your '07. I don't rightly know if the 16-way uses one unique connector or a few different ones. You could probably make them work with minimal effort regardless.
Do you have heated seats now? Are the new ones heated?

Have a look at the electrical circuit diagrams, see sticky at top of the X150 forum, for the respective 2007 and 2010 models. The seat module controls the various functions so check if your 2007 connector wiring would be compatible with the 2010. The physical connectors 2007 and 2010 should be are compatible i.e. fit.

I have just gone the opposite direction... I picked up and '07 coupe interior for my '11 vert and checked with the dealer before purchasing. He cross referenced the years and models for me and found them to be interchangable. The '11 has heated and cooled 16 way adjustable, the '07 has no cooling. I have not yet fitted them, the car is in being wrapped. In comparing the two sets, all appears the same. I can report back late next week when I start changing the interior.

It's quite a process to wrap correctly as you'll see in the pics... I'm going from Liquid Silver with ebony interior to an Avery Pearl White exterior wrap with some brushed aluminum and carbon fibre accents. The interior will become a combination of caramel and ebony. Fingers crossed it all turns out!

If you can contribute anything knowledge please do so....I was unable to open the medafire files as indicated above to check the electrical connectors. Thanks and either way I will update with the results. Thanks all and WASH YOUR HANDS and DON'T TOUCH YOUR FACE!

Let us know how they fit, and I hope it goes well for you! I just bought a 2007 XK Convertible, and the drivers seat was not functioning correctly(all controls work, except for the back tilt up/back) I was super fortunate to have found an exact match(Black) from a 2008 on Ebay, and was able to make a deal with the seller in Wisconsin. I just picked them up yesterday, and am working on the install now. Good luck!

The seat back tilt has to be reset with Jaguar SDD and then it will work.

Well, I think you are in uncharted territory.
I do hope you have the electrical guides for your MY as well as the electrical guide for MY2014.
Obviously, The only way I see forward is to replace the connector on the new seats with the original connector. Of course hoping the internals referenced are somewhat the same to the '07.So a mapping guide on the pinouts will need to be done.

My Electrical Guide covers B09097 to B20074. Attached a few pages for reference.

I asked this before in this thread but never got a reply....... are the donor seats 16-way and is your vehicle configured for 16-way seats?

Sorry CEE JAY....I think i missed a post but i don't believe my 07 had the 16-way...although I don't think the seats I am removing from the 07 were original.....I called one of the alarms wiring shop and the dude there is going to have a look...after the lockdown!!!!Needless to say I am very disappointed and willing to try anything at this point. My only other option is to order some seat covers from lseat.com. AND update seats this way.....does anyone know If the ebay salvage airbag can be reused? my original issue was the side passenger airbag deployed while my son was driving.....never really knew what happened.

Maybe I missed it but other than the airbag, why do you need seats? If it’s the seat covers, and yours are the same style as the new ones you could just swap the covers.

I've run into the same issue going from a 2011 seat to the 2007, the connectors are indeed different. And this after I called the dealer to ensure compatability... I have tried to take the seatcovers off of the '07 and tried to install on the '11 frames and there are compatability issues there also. The 2011 seats are ducted heat and cool vs heating pad and no cool in the 2007, not to mention slightly different different seat patterns. The only option now is to re-wire the connector OR have them professionally re-upholstered. I would not suggest removing the seat covers, it is a surprisingly difficult and the leather is stapled to the foam. If I find a solution, I'll let you know

WOW wished you had posted sooner!!!! we could have just traded!!!! So now I'm going to try and swap the seat track.....If I could just get mine to move back and forward i will be ok as i never adjust my seats in the convertible.....like all of you I am man sized and have my seats as far back as possible..... AGAIN the reason I am replacing my seats are due to the passenger side airbag being deployed.
