Do you own an XKR-S or just added that wing to an XK?

We have just bought an XKRS - but wifey doesn't like the rear spoiler - she wants to replace it with the standard wing of the XK....

I agree with her, she has taste.
Let her have the spoiler she will let you keep the car.

I would not sell the wing. Replace, sure if that's what is required...

Remind her that people in Hell want ice water ... but they don't always get what they want. If that doesn't work ... threaten to 'cut her off' for 6 months and see if that changes her mind. However, before doing either of the above ... make sure you have a good divorce lawyer's phone number on speed dial.

1. It is her car - paid with her hard earned Euros
2. Eventually she will let me drive it
3. She got taste - otherwise she wouldn't be with me
4. I wont sell the wing - i want just to replace it with the small XK/XKR one.
5. Divorce lawyer is not an option cause she has the car and i will stuck with the supercharged Range Rover....

What a brilliant test to show how chauvinistic we are- we all assumed it could not be her car.

My apologies- we have such a long way to evolve.
However, I would find even Angela Merkel blood-throbbingly attractive in an XKRS. I wont apologize for keeping that my of sexism.

LOL, absolutely.
BTW imagine what a picture of your wife driving the XKRS would do for women's rights in Arabia. I believe Jaguar is counting on such a miracle.

I think its a pretty straightforward process of removing my spoiler, I dont know about the xkrs.

When I replaced the spoiler on my 09 xkr the antenna was mounted in the old spoiler, so you might want to check if the xkr-s has the same set up and order a new one.

There are two sizes for the XKR spoiler. One is quite a bit bigger than the stock one. It is essentially the XKR-S or some special edition spoiler from the models before they built the wing style. At a guess, I'd think it was an inch or so taller than the stock one.

If it was me, I'd be ripping it off and replacing it with the spoiler from the XKR-S GT...

I will burn in hell for the XKR-S GT Spoiler that is some 10.000.-- Euros here.

She doesn't like the Speedpack spoiler (the bit bigger one) - she wants the normal one..

yes, personally I preferred the standard spoiler. Also my (standard) spoiler would touch the panel lift door when I popped the lid with my carage open, so I didnt really want anything bigger.

But I cant help but like that massive XKRS-GT wing.
