It is definitely not louder. Listening to the raw video with headphones over and over it does sound fuller. I will burn them in for a few hundred miles and then re-record them. My XF SC with the Mina exhaust at the end of the video has gotten louder over time and right now I can smell the patina burn off on the Mina on the XKR-S.

Well...it does sound fuller, but I am disappointed that it is not louder...I certainly hope it grows in growl with break in. That being said there is always a muffler delete!! Somewhere on here there are links and if I recall it is devastatingly awesome!!!!! That being said I would have expected an aftermarket exhaust to be louder and devastating as well. How is the steering wheel?

Steering wheel is nice but not as "plush"/special as they were in my P cars. Maybe it is the exhaust that I am a little bit down, was hoping for more.

I think the steering wheel is great for a $900 option but not for a $1600 after market add-on. It does not pop enough.

I am sorry you are not thrilled with your purchases. I am upset about the Mina Exhaust...I think we all thought it would transform that beast into a screaming madman . I think the straight-back pipes are the key if it does not settle into something you want.. I am sure there are people on the boards who would purchase the Mina Exhaust to replace an older one.

Your Friend,
Loth

My 2012 has about 7k miles on it and I don't hear a difference. Although in a convertible with the top down it's the loudest car I have been in. Check out the Arden aftermarket steering wheel in Carbon. They had a sale on one a couple of months ago. The sound with the straight pipes seems a little louder but different also as a little supercharger whine comes in at higher rpm's. With that said, I like doing 4 hour cruises at 85 with no exhaust sound. Unless you want it to pass, etc. When I get on the two lanes I click on the sound and put the top down .

today I found out that the Jaguar suede/alcantara wheel maintains its heating function, so that is a big thumbs up. None of my P car wheels did that.

Drove the XKR-S for about three hours today and at about 2,000rpm and about 70mph it is absolutely quiet, you cannot hear the exhaust at all.

I have a feeling that the overrun is starting to get stronger. It is very strong in my XF with the Mina. I can maintain it and continue it almost coming to a complete stop. The XKR-S is not there yet but seems to crackle more. I tried to do some drive by vids with my wife but they ended up being really just one run were she did not mix up stop and start recording ... oyoyoyoyoyoyoyo

The sound is okay just not what I hoped for. Not having looked underneath my car yet, I understood that the XKR-S has no pre-resonators, am I wrong? So I am just flabbergasted that it is not more "impressive" with a much smaller muffler. A standard XKR without the dynamic sport exhaust has two resonators, or not? My XF with two resonators and the Mina sounds at least as good as the XKR-S and you can hear more inside when you drive to let the exhaust rumble.

Well, here's the first sub-$80,000 XKR-S I've seen, and they're accepting offers to boot. Someone's going to get a great bargain!

Yes my XKR has 2 silencing resonators where my XKR-S just has a X pipe
