Default Higher stall torque converter

Anyone have experience or thoughts on installing a higher stall Circle D 6HP26 torque converter?

Since first gear is so low and there is enough torque down low, I don't really see the point. The converter would probably negate first gear and go directly into second.

The fluid would get quite a bit warmer though.

Also, does the ZF have a lockup torque converter? I've never bothered to check.

It does, for all gears or so it says in the specs...
