This is the 200 cell with 3" exhaust to the rear, X-pipe and a custom 3" muffler design that is straight through. More of a resonator.

Thanks for the comments guys. Wait until you hear the system with the headers shortly.

So how much lower in db do you think it would be with the original muffler but no mid resonators?

Got mine installed today. Not sure how I feel about them yet. Do feel a little more power. Will dyno to see if what difference they made. The exhaust note does not sound any different, just louder, especially the rasp. Keep in mind I have the factory rear box, larger custom tips, resonators removed and replaced with X-pipe and fuse 19 pulled. Going to try putting the fuse back in sometime in the next few weeks to see what, if any, difference that makes. Noise level at cruising speed seems no different, but the slightest touch of the throttle lights up the sound and at WOT it is brutal.

Good job jahummer

Your not wrong with x pipe and fuse pulled the noise is absolutely brutal

At moment I've got the two inner pipes going and shut the exhaust valves on the outer two

For me the sound is just about spot on .

I put my fuse 19 back is so I can control it with Dynamic Mode. My immediate neighbors are glad that I did it.

Did a cold start start up this morning and it sounds really good, a bit like a McLaren 570S from my experience. Then I replaced fuse 19 and that made a huge difference, much, much quieter but still louder than a full stock exhaust when getting on it. Have not driven it much with the fuse in so will leave it as is for a while, then take the fuse out again. I heard the new cats will need to break in and tone will change with time and use.

Hey Derek.....did anyone in the Charlotte area get you a 2010-2014 XKR to do a prototype on? I am in Denver....20 minutes north of Uptown. I drive a 2011 XKR.

Drove around a bit today, including freeway time, with fuse 19 installed. The results are somewhat strange, acoustically. Valves are open when starting the car and then close when driving normally, then open again when driving hard past 4K RPM, then close again at cruising speed. So it sounds loud when they are open but when they close, the exhaust becomes significantly muted and muffled like a factory non-modified exhaust. Going to keep it that way for a little while, then take the fuse out again or I may make it switchable.

Jahummer isn't that what we want in a marquee brand of vehicle ?

Quiet and somber at cruising pace, then brutally anamilistic when we jump on the throttle

I guess what I was trying to describe is the exhaust is nice and loud on start then abruptly sounds like it was shut off, then briefly turned on very loud at full volume at higher RPMs, then again abruptly turned off when letting off the gas, the transition seems too harsh and un-natural. I understand that is what it is supposed to do but I guess I did not realize that it is effectively like going from 0 db to 100 db back to 0 db without any transition. Kind of like watching listening to music at full volume and pressing the mute button on the amplifier on and off.

Hope that makes sense.

That was a surprise to me also when I 1st got my car. After going through the OM I found how this worked and enjoy punching it once in a while. It drives my bride nuts when I hit the go peddle while in a tunnel. In the old days we had to unscrew the caps off of each exhaust Y pipe until they came out with the cable then electric butterfly. At 80 mph with them closed it's pretty quiet in the cabin which makes it a fun GT cruiser.
