Hello everyone,
As i'm about to make a great deep cleaning of the car interior (after the door leather panels will be reglued)I saw that the hood liner is kind of dirty/grayish . (Which in a way, is not surpising in a 15years old car) So i wonder how i could clean it ?
Have any of you ever cleaned his hood interior layer?
I thought about those washer/hoover kind of tool but wonder if all this would be safe for the mechanism behind.
If not, what would/did you use to clean your hood liner?
Thanks. Aurelien.

Does a convertible headlining sag? That had never occurred to me. Every Jag saloon I've ever owned has had some headlining sag. I thought all that was behind me.

Can't keep the conversation straight. Are we talking about the engine bay liner or the head liner in the passenger compartment?
If the engine bay, I use Mean Green and spray it all over. Then hit it with the low pressure, pressure washer at home. Yeah, I know you naysayers... but I have been doing this on all my cars, my whole driving life. And never a worry.
If the head lines, a low pressure vacuum (with the fabric long bristle bush) and Tide spot remover if needed.
I also seal where wires enter a connector with Star Brite Liquid Electrical Tape.
Cheers.
