This happened a while ago because the car had apparently been in some kind of unreported accident before I bought it and was seemingly a side impact on the driver’s side.
But anyways, at first it was just the exterior driver door lock button on the handle that wouldn’t work like the passenger side would.
At some point the driver’s side interior door panel came loose and every time I shut the door even gently it would make a loud metallic cling noise. Soon after the interior driver side door handle was loose and would not activate the lock when pushed in. But it would lock if the auto lock activated or I locked the car remotely or from the passenger side. I took it to an official Jaguar dealership for some other things and they managed to fix the door (was free because I already spent a lot on other repairs and this was apparently a simple fix for them). Apparently they said it wasn’t connected properly from whomever did it last.
Now fast forward a few months and it’s happening again. The interior handle is still fine, but I assume it’s a matter of time. See the pictures and let me know if this is just a matter of clipping it in properly or just buying some new connecting pieces, or if this is a “just live with it or buy a new door” type of situation.
At the outer edge of the door panel, there is a Torx bolt under the bolt cover. Is your there? check against the passenger side, You see it with the door open. Number 2 in the PDF

Thank you for the response. I think I had noticed some type of prominent bolt in that spot. I’ll have to check again later. If I do see it, should I follow the other steps in the PDF instructions? Or does it just need tightening?
See this link for fitting the door panel. Check the Bowden cable on the interior door handle is installed properly to activate the door latch.

If the Torx screw was in place, you wouldn't be able to pull the door card away like you're doing the picture. Yes the directions are fine in the manual I posted but also follow the tips in @V7Sport link.
