Default How many multiple jag owners here? I'm looking to be one

So, I have always enjoyed fast, comfortable cars. I've had many different cars ranging from old muscle cars, off-roaders and small compact cars. But, we all know that exhilaration from being pushed back in your seat as the needle climbs.

I have a 2011 Ford Expedition Limited. And while it isn't necessarily fast, I do enjoy the feeling and sounds of the V8, the torque and just the experience. It has no problem cruising down the highway at 80-105mph. I got this truck about 5 years ago and still like it.

I also have a 2010 XKR that I bought a couple years ago and it has heated that fire in me again. The rumble and the acceleration, the comfort and the pleasure. It can't be escaped. It has left me wanting more.

So, I've been considering trading my Expedition in for a 2017/2018 F-Pace S or R-Sport with the S/C 3.0 @ 380hp. Being smaller, lighter, and higher HP than my Expedition, it would make my daily driving much more fun. I also like the updated tech that my 2011 is missing. Of course we'd all love to have the SVR, but that is not within my financial reach right now.

Have any of you bought an F-Pace? What has your experience been? From what I can gather, short of Jay Emm having an issue with his press car not powering up for over an hour for reasons unknown, the F-Pace seems to be making a good long-term reliability record for itself going on its 5th year of being available.

What about other multi-jag owners? What do you have?

I currently have 3 Jags and have owned 6 overall. Clearly, I really like the cars and if I liked the new ones, I would not hesitate to buy another.

Currently have:
1970 E-Type
2007 XK
2011 XJL SC

Previous:
1995 XJR
1997 XK8
2003 XKR

My interest these days tends to be older cars so I'm not sure a new car is in my future.

I saw a 20d on autotempest for $29k today. All the reviews say those are pretty sluggish and not really fun. But, if it serves your need, that's all that counts!

20d F Pace

I had an XK8 and and XKR for awhile, but found I never drove the XK8 so I sold it.
Wifey has a Lexus RX350, but I'm slowly getting her to consider either an F-Pace or an I-Pace to replace it in a year or so.

yep very true, i don't expect much out of it for myself in terms of fun. the idea i'm mulling over is the price of diesel fuel for the next ten years, and, a bit more space and utility for my wife than my sedan offers (not to mention a big upgrade in terms of comfort).

I've had the F-Pace just over a year now, nothing to grumble about yet.

I'm waiting for some more electric models to come out. Supposedly all electric by 2025 but I see no progress...

I still enjoy my 2009 XKR Portfolio convertible and 2013 XJ 5.0SC. Problem is that I still can't decide which one I like better. Both are gorgeous, but 4 adults don't fit in the XKR and the top doesn't go down in the XJ. What to drive?

Decisions, decisions, decisions ...

Answer is simple. You drive the convertible and the other 3 shmucks follow you in the XJ. In all seriousness, I really do like the looks of those XJ's. Very long and sleek for a sedan.

Like classic cars, buys projects, fixes them, drives them, sells them. Currently an XJ6 S2 needing brakes and engine replaced.

My 2017 F-Pace S has way to many squeaks and noises inside and out of the cabin, for this caliber of vehicle. Trying to get them sorted out through dealer, had to have dash replaced from leather bubbling and oh yeah there was that engine failure in which they had to replace the entire engine, with no warning at all. Never even thru a code. I love the styling of the vehicle and we enjoy driving it, but if this thing would have been out of warranty I would have been F@#%&@

I bought the XF to replace the XJ8 in daily driver duties, but I had too hard a time letting go. I have a long list of classic cars I'd like to own and might could reasonably afford (including a few other vintage Jaguars lower down my list). I wish I could be like Jay Leno and keep every car I ever bought, however only so much space in the garage so if I'm ever going to have even a fraction of the cars I always wanted, I'll have to own them one at a time. I recently realized I'm getting older and running out of years to work through my list. I've got an appointment to go look at one of my high school dream cars on Friday, but its not a Jag, rather its a Plymouth. If I buy that, I'll have to let go the XJ8 and probably by the time I get around to another Jaguar (unless a whale of a deal falls in my lap), the XF will be replaced with a newer daily.

At the moment have two. My 2013 XKR vert and a 1994 6.0 L XJS vert. The XJS is fairly rare, according Paul Skilleter's book there were only 994 6.0L XJS verts ever built. in MY 94 & 95. According to Nigel Thornley there were 755 6.0 Ls built. Take your choice.

Look at my signature block and you will see I have been driving the cats for almost 50 years.

Currently 11 classic Jags in my stable. Too many. Some are going to have to go over the next few years as I get closer to no longer doing time... on the outside...

2008 XKR convertible owner here. Looking for an EV (crossover/SUV) for the Mrs and the i-pace is on the list to test drive. So, maybe a future multiple Jag owner depending on how it stacks up to the EV offerings.

Started with 2001 S-Type. Added 2014 XJL Portfolio a few years ago. When I go looking at new models, dealers ask if I'll sell the S-Type to them as they get a lot of inquiries for them.

My F- Pace is a great vehicle. It has the 35t Engine giving 340HP. I recommend the F-Pace as a reliable comfortable 4 door AWD SUV. Road holding is impressive. The ride and seats very comfortable. Not as much fun as my XKR convertible but the F-Pace sunroof helps make up for the lack of a convertible.
