This was very interesting. I did some searching for oil filters made in the USA. There are quite a few, however, several are careful to say “majority”, not all. I always find in interesting when companies weasel word their product descriptions. I guess they assume we are of a lower intelligence than their marketing writers.
Here is a list of oil filters I found that state they are all made in the USA. ACDelco, Amsoil, Motorcraft, Royal Purple, STP. I used to use WIX, but I found they are now made from “global materials in U.S. and other locations”. Smooooth, but very sad. Off the list. I was also disappointed to find that Mann is now made in China. Off the list. I read an article that the yellow filter paper has now been found to be just regular folded paper in some cases and has deteriorated and clogged a few oil ports recently. What next, plastic and cardboard?

Motortrend TV hosted the boys from Roadkill testing on a stationary engine without a detonation sensor, all the oil filters and at least 5-6 gasolines from E85 thru to 116 leaded race gas. The results are shocking, outstanding and could put the auto industry on its head.
