I've even lowered my car and with the spacers it should be super dangerous to drive but it drives just as good/nice as OEM but it looks soooo muuuuch better!:-)
My tires all wear even and have yet to hear anybody having a problem with spacers or lowering springs.

Jaguar spent several millions of dollars on suspension development and you want to throw on a couple of bucks worth of wheel spacers. If you like to drive your car with compromise handling that's your choice it doesn't bother me at all, hey its your money your car the customer is always right.
I hear what you are saying, but manufacturers always have to play safe, take account of numerous different regulations in numerous different markets, think about warranty claims etc etc. Deviating, in a sensible way, from their decisions based on all those factors doesn't necessarily mean you will end up with a catastrophe. I'd imagine that millions of spacers have been sold by H&R over the years, and if they all led to serious problems, we'd probably have heard of them. Plus, of course, we have first-hand reports from members like @peterv8 and others, none of whom is reporting a problem. HST, I agree that one needs to move cautiously, hence my raising my concerns and questions here. If someone was considering an outlandish modification, using something like 60 mm spacers, or using cheap spacers, then I'd be the first to comment. And while it is true that the geometry will be changed, and that the strain on wheel bearings will be increased, the differences will not be hugely significant if sensible precautions are taken (e.g. using 15 mm or 20 mm spacers from a reputable company such as H&R). I know people who race saloon cars, and they add much bigger spacers than I am considering and then race the cars at 100% for an hour on a track, all without catastrophic failures.
Plus, I don't ever drive at ten tenths of my car's capability. Probably not even at seven tenths, so even if the handling is compromised a little, I won't notice it. I don't track the car - and if I did, I'd probably be using much wider wheels anyway, ans they impose the additional forces you mention too.

You just saw the data: 2 years, spirited driving, no mechanical issues, even tyre wear. That's the best sort of data available - it's based on actual user experience.
OTOH, you didn't give any data to support your own claims

20mm front 15mm rear on the 4.2 with Senta wheels has been mentioned several times, including me and works/looks great!:-) Only physical action I had to take was cutting off the non threaded part of the studs with a grinder on the rear hubs.
It transforms the look of the car!

I have ordered the H&R spacers now
on the 15 mm spacers I only cut the non-threated part off.
Did you go for 15mm all around cause the front really need 20mm plus you only have to grind 10 bolts.:-)

Thanks for the reply. No, I went for 20 mm on the front and 15 mm on the rear, as you did. I will follow your lead and remove the non-threaded part on the rears. Thanks for the advice and the initial heads-up - much appreciated. Looking forward to this mod!
You only have to remove stud material IF your wheels are flat on the mating surface. Some wheels have pockets on the back side between the lug holes where the long studs fit nicely.

Pockets on the Senta’s are not quite deep enough, so you’ve got to take off the non-threaded part of the stud (for the 15mm spacers).

Thanks guys. I have the exact same wheels (and spacers, when they arrive) as @peterv8,so if he needed to grind, then so do I This forum is so helpful and has never failed to answer any questions I have had about my XKR!

I won't get into recommended spacers (never had them on any of my cars).
But I will say, that in my opinion, the fitment of the Vortex wheels on the rear is just about perfect. Aesthetically I feel the fronts could be pushed out a little, but not much.
This would suggest that there are only 2 suspension options... 4.2 and 5.0
There is no unique setup required for 2010-11
Also, the online reports of tamana wheels being et51 are likely incorrect?

I've read that there are 3 sizes of rear hubs... trying to find the correct numbers for my 2012xkr, but getting this information consolidated in one place would be massively helpful for future forum members. I know if this thread had existed 2 months ago, sizing wheels would have been much easier.

Are there indeed 3 separate hub distances across all model years?
Looking all over the net, there's a variety of wheel sizes and offsets listed for 2012+ and other years. I suspect this is due to assumptions that one year fits other years, bad data, lack of actual measurements, etc.
I think that the stock tamana wheels I have on my 2012 are 19x9.5 et51 rear and 19x8.5 et49 front (though some sources say the front is also et51).
i wouldn't trust centric rings if I were you judging by my own experience.That's why got me a set of wheels custom made

I have a pair of 20 mm spacers (front) and a pair of 15 mm (rear) on back order from H&R in Germany. They should be here in about a week's time. When they arrive, I will document the fitting of them here, along with before and after pics. The job appears simple enough on the face of it -- the only part I am not looking forward to is using an angle grinder to cut off the unthreaded parts of the rear wheel studs in order to accommodate the 15 mm spacers. But that is more about me disliking using angle grinders rather than anything to do with the XKR.
If you can, please include things like vehicle year & engine size, stock wheel & tire make/model/dimensions, suspension changes if you have them, and aftermarket wheel & tire make/model/dimensions. It will help others with their comparisons.

My H&R spacers finally arrived this morning from Germany. Fitted them in a couple of hours -- grinding a few mm off the rear studs went more smoothly than I thought it might. This is on a 2008 XKR with Senta wheels. 20 mm spacers fitted to front, 15 mm to rear. Both wheels line up perfectly with the fenders.
I love the way the car looks now. I took it for a short test drive of about 10 miles and no problems. Couldn't exceed 80 mph due to traffic, but all good. I think I may have noticed slightly sharper steering and slightly better roadholding/handling. On one of my 'test bends' I cornered at my usual max speed and felt I could have gone a little faster - I will test this next time out. Of course, these impressions may be confirmation bias at work - a longer journey might settle that in my mind one way or the other. HST, my main reason for fitting the spacers was cosmetic, and I am extremely pleased with the new look.
All in all, a successful modification.
