Default I am interested in a 2007/8 XKR

I am determined to purchase this vehicle by May or June of this year. The little research I have done I was some what put off by dealers keeping the price of these cars in the mid 50s - high 50s range when my market research has indicated these cars can be purchased in the mid 40s.

My first question is does anybody know the "black"book value of an 07-08 XKR coupe

Secondly, I would appreciate any and all advice available to make my coming purchase shrewd and expedient.

Thank you all in advance

My experience is that the 2008 is 10k more than 07. 07 in Houston is 45k to 52k depending on color and mileage.

Get on Autotrader.

my dealer just offered to buy mine for 56 ..............

it's an '08 Portfolio with 4000 miles (store it 4 months a year) ... that's professionally detailed 4 times each year..... it may be in better shape than when it was delivered in November of '07

you've got to figure that he makes it CPO and would ask mid-to- high 60's when the snow starts to melt next Spring.... unless he has a buyer now and he'll flip it for a quick 4 or 5k profit..........

there's that old saying 'you get what you pay for' ..... I'm sure you could find one for less....

the problem for me was that I couldn't find anything I'd rather have than my XKR

i wonder why the dealer would offer that. seems a bit strange considering you can get 2010 XK @ 385 horsepower and newer interior for 60-64k

I currently have a 2002 convertible. I too would like to upgrade to a 2007/2008 coupe as well. I like the fact that these cars are retaining their value, however I am having a hard time coming off the coin for a Sunday driver of that magnitude. I will be trading for a 2008 coupe sometime in the next year or two regardless. I look for the 2008 for the antenna upgrade. Like my 2002, the 2007 has a power antenna. I can't stand it. I do look at this section to further enhance my knowledge of the newer models.

I would also check out eBay - it's where I bought mine in June. The price range on '07 varies with a $5k+ spread. If you do due diligence e.g. Autocheck with title insurance included, explore the seller from different angles, confirm VIN in photos matches, escrow payment if you can't do the transaction in person, and w/ eBay's $50k vehicle purchase protection, you should be good if you go that route.

NYtoJerz that black XKR looks nice with that interior.. and that is a good price.

The Carmax 07 is a darn good price too... ironically it has the aluminum interior and would look much better with wood with that tan interior and green exterior.

I'm pretty happy with my 07 as it was just a little more $$ but is a certified car. In fact, it goes in to the shop in the morning for throwing an engine code and giving me the 'reduced performance' mode.

I bought my '07 XKR Coupe about 3 months ago after finding the car on autotrader. It had 29,000 miles and has a special order interior color combo that added a couple thousand to the sticker. It's Lunar grey on the exterior with a black leather dash, and black carpets, blonde wood trim and ivory seats. Very Sharp! I got it for $44,900 and the dealer paid for the shipping. At the time, this was one of the best deals available on autotrader which is why I have an R. I was going to get just the base XK until I stumbled on this baby!

Still available..

that 07 R is a good deal but it is Green if it was black you can add at least 3k to price..

Colors do make a big difference on the used car market White, and Black will always do more....

Maybe it just me but an 07 was never option for me based solely on the remote control car like antenna
