I got pulled over on the way home from the dealership!
So I pulled the trigger and got me a beautiful 2012 xkr and while driving along I-10 through good ole' Alabama I come over a hill clocking ~75 in a 70. I see a trooper in the median at the bottom of the hill and tap my brakes like a teen and checked my speed. I slowed a few notches down to 70-72 as I passed him and he pulled out and pulled me over 1/2 mile later.
He just said its a beauty and saw I had paper tags so he better take a look. He asked lots of questions about my new car, horsepower, year, dealership, etc. and was very friendly and sent me on my way laughing.
That's my first cop look-see, lol. I hope it was just the paper tag.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the car had a clear bra in good shape, a rear seat wind deflector, an iphone 5/6 adapter, and some nice union jack valve stem caps! I wasn't too sure I loved the chrome mirrors but in person they really pop! I love the azurite blue in the sunlight and was happy to find that the sport seats are just as comfy as the regular ones but look much nicer, IMHO.
I really love the minor updates. The interior materials are MUCH nicer and feel like what I originally wanted in a jag. I love the smooth leather finish with contrasting stitching and I was worried the silver fascia would blend in but the warm charcoal is plenty dark enough to five a nice contrast. I also like the interior blue lighting (and head display) vs the amber lighting in the 08. It just all makes for what feels like a nice upgrade to a car I already loved.

I too love the blue, especially in sunlight. It looks very similar to yours although mine is called Indigo Blue not Azurite blue. The sport seats do improve the look in my opinion.
Here's a shot of mine with clear side markers added. I wasn't a fan of the Orange and I find it makes for a more cohesive appearance this way.
Congrats on the new ride!

During my search there were 3 colors I was looking for. They were Green , Red and Blue in that order. At that time any of them were hard to find and I bet if you search it out you will find the color rare compared to Black , Gray , Silver and White. Great choice and good luck. Enjoy the ride.

Also, I had a dodge challenger SRT pull up yesterday and invite me to go racing sometime, lol. I politely declined.

I read that due to earthquakes in india the indigo color was only used in the first half of 2012 production and they had to change the color to azurite. I like your model a lot! I was hoping to find the "caramel?" seat colors that I think yours has and also I would prefer 20s but I'm not sure if the wheel difference is worth the hassle to me. I'm totally happy with my cat now.

I didn't realize my original post only showed the open top pic in thumbnail size. D'oh! Since we are all XK lovers here I am posting a few more pics in different shades of light... strictly for research purposes and not at all because my cat is covered up in the garage for winter and posting this is helping me with my withdrawal symptoms!
