Default Identification of Engine Hoses

Hi,

having removed the Supercharger intake hoses to check for a fluid leak the phone rang, I subsequently left the spot light on the hose in the attached photo and burnt a hole in it. Car appears to still be running fine but will not take any chances and replace the hose. Can someone please help in identifying the hose and if possible the part number. First photo is the other end of the hose near to the front of the engine, whilst second photo is the burn mark in the hose located closer to the intake.

Other end of hose

Hose with burn mark

Many thanks.

Colin.

I don't know if things have changed but it looks like you might have a few problems trying to source one of those:

If the hose is not available or too expensive, cut out the melted section and splice the ends together with a barb connector.

Yes they don't make that part anymore. You'll have to get creative to fix it. The link posted above by U102768 should point you in the right direction.

Thank you all for your prompt reply and valuable information. Back in my days of Uni and always having to find a cheap fix for the round around I tapped into a flat mate who was a plumber. Their are a whole host of high pressure pipes of all shapes and sizes that are inexpensive with proven results on vehicles. In absence of being able to purchase the correct hose I may tap into that resource when applying a creative fix to include that barb connector.

Cheers.
