Indicator not cancelling.

Indicator not cancelling.
Morning all,
I have been the proud owner of my 2007 XKR for two years. I’ve followed this forum for some time, but never posted. I’d like to say thanks to all who contribute, you have saved me a few times when I have had problems.
Since I bought the car my indicator hasn’t cancelled after turning left, unless I over straighten (slightly turn right). I believe it is due to the indicator mechanism not being put back correctly after the previous owner had an air bag fault rectified. Is it difficult to remove the indicator mechanism and reseat correctly?
Thanks in advance,
Matt.

Removing/replacing the indicator stalk is pretty simple. I managed to do it myself. Here's the link to step by step directions in the forum: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/g...cement-256786/
I'd suggest prepping yourself to replace it. The module snaps into place, and there's pretty much no way to mess up putting it in and still have any of the functions work. More likely is parts are worn out inside it. I replaced mine because the headlight switch wasn't shutting off properly, but I've seen others replacing the module because of the exact issue you have. The module is cheap and proactively replacing it seems like a much better idea than opening up the steering column twice (once to reseat, then again to replace).
