Interior led lighting
On a whim thought I'd give some led bulbs a try... they are cheap enough! Ordered them off eBay mid last week not knowing if they'd work but for a couple dollars was willing to take that chance risk. Install took all of maybe 20 secs - literally just pull, don't unscrew, the old bulb out and push the new one in. The ones I got today came from Washington state were green, I also ordered some from China in "ice blue" that ran me all of .65 each shipped! They should be here next week. Here's how they look... due to the nature of the camera it doesn't show up as good as it looks in-person. Its 2pm here now I'll give them a chance at night later to make sure I'm pleased. There's red, orange, green, blue, ice blue, and a few other colors I believe

The wife had me swap all the incandescent lamps (the yellowish ones) with bright white LEDs in her Lexus. Quite a dramatic difference. She had the choice of different colors, but stuck with the pure white ones. Yes, they are very cheap. I thought about changing some in my XKR, just never have gotten around to it yet.

That key fob sadly was the only one to come with the car, its not dirty just worn in well. When I become rich and famous again I'll spring for a new key
I just took a stab at which bulb but it worked fine. Here is the link on eBay (T10 5050 #194 LED bulbs) where I ordered it and they came quickly. As said I have some coming from China in ice blue that ran me only .65 each free shipping but will probably stick with the green as it matches the dash color. Now I may go ahead and replace the dome light, map reading lights, light in trunk too.

Leeper - You can get new Key fob cover on Ebay for about $6, or you can go further. here is the link: jaguar xk key fob 2007-2015 | eBay
I did it about 18 months ago. It takes maybe 10 minutes to dismantle the key fob and re-assemble it with the new fob.

Yeah Ralph... I should and will thanks for the reminder and the heads-up on the link. I'll do that and get a new key when some receivables come in
Update - just looked at the lighting in the dark, definitely happy. Maybe the best $2.49 (both bulbs shipped from Washington) I've spent in a while still awaiting the .65 each lights to arrive from China to compare. I just ordered LED's for the map reading lights, dome light, trunk light too as the bulbs are ridiculously cheap... going to convert my other car too
