Default reviving old thread... sorry

2013 XKRS/Iphone 6 (not plus)

first attempt at using phone to play my music; USB output with Apple OEM cord shows device paused immediately after "docked" and "no enter" in text box.

Searched and most threads turn into Apple bashing. Not an option for me unless I want a different phone just for my car...

Ipad plays fine through iPod dock

Please guide;
Get adapter to step down 30 pin down to iPhone to use iPOD output?
Or will USB output work if you know what to do? Seems like most iPhone 6 users have has success but don't indicate which port (uSCB or IPOD) they are sourcing

Pretty sure the USB connection won't work for that (just thumb drives), you need the 30pin to lightening connector adapter.

You can't use the USB; you have to use the iPod connector. Get a Bovee ViseeO WMA 1000 Wireless Bluetooth Music adapter for in car iPod Integration from Amazon. It's $88. You'll be able to see what song is playing on your car's screen. You can also use the steering wheel controls to move through songs. I have a 2014 XKR and it pairs perfectly with my iPhone 6. Let me know if you have any questions. Enjoy!

Same here, love the WMA1000. But in the two XK's that I have owned in the last year it worked in one and did not work in the other. Same year car, no difference I could tell. In the one it did not work it would pause after one second and nothing would change that (this with hours on the internet scouring fixes).
