It's a personal choice and I DO see the appeal for some/many but more so in warmer climes than we get here.
But red on any car. esp a sports car/GT to me smacks of:
1) Tom Selleck aka Magnum PI in his heyday
2) Someone that drives around with a bag of sweeties in his glovebox for the kids
3) You may have to wear matching nail varnish
4) Oxidisation waiting to happen (common on many cars here in the UK in the 80's and 90's)
I also remember seeing a woman jumping up and down on a dealership forecourt enthusing about a red convertible merc, it was a ;"OMG IT'S BEAUTIFUL AND JUST THE COLOUR I WANT!!!"
Am sure she got a great discount...sigh
Flame suit (not red) firmly on...but then I have a car that's a non-colour

Mosesbotbol,
Anytime you find yourself in Southern California, give me a holler and the Pantera is yours for a day. You or any other forum members are welcome to take the scalded cat for the day. Bring ear plugs, it's very loud, but loads of fun even at low speeds. It's so low to the ground that you feel like you're in a 500hp go cart, so that even low speeds are thrilling.
Be my guest anytime!

I do find it slightly anomalous that we work hard to make our cars stand out and be downright sexy, when most of us (me included) need to go on a crash diet, perhaps some cosmetic surgery and certainly a ceramic coating for ourselves.
That said I am the same weight at 54 I was at 19 (73kg/164lbs) probs due to hair loss though!
But my sprung weight is lower, so hopefully my car will go faster than someone of 220lbs?
