It's distinctly a Jaguar XKR--best GT built

Walking to my car this morning coming from the bank a couple was walking around my car eyeing it. It was parked 3 rows up from any other car by itself. As I walked up the guy asked me if it was my car. He said, "I had to walk up to see this fine machine".
How may people referred to your Jaguar as a "...machine"? I remember the brilliant Jaguar marketing slogan from my days in middle school reading a magazine advertising a yellow E-Type, "Man Meet Machine". Several other people have approached my XKR during the last 2 years to refer to it as a ...machine. This slogan has stuck with the Jaguar brand for the better. An example of great marketing of a great car. The XKR is distinctly a Jaguar and will never be confused as a muscle car like my GT-R was. I told the gentleman I was very happy with the machine with a big grind and he lsmiled and without saying anything we both knew exactly what I meant.

I get compliments on mine all the time - in the last week I pair of middle aged ladies come up and say how much they loved the sound of the car, and some guys come up to say how hot it looked when I was filling up. But the funniest was my missus. I was borrowing her car because I needed the AWD to go to our bird vet who essentially lives in a forest. So the missus has taken the XKR and then decided to adopt it. She ended up out for 3 short trips that turned into very long ones looking for a place where she could give it the hammer. And now she's commenting darkly about her v40T5 CC to the effect that it feels slow and the steering is heavy in comparison the the XKR...
