I can't recall the specific name, but 3M has a sprayable product for te DIY'fers in the group. I'm thinking of testing it on the front valance, dog legs, and rockers of my mustang.
Thought I'd show her off a little, since I don't yet have my XKR in house.

It's gorgeous. Are you talking about the Plasti-Dip stuff?

A guy on our motorcycle forum just did the wheels on his Mini a few weeks ago and I have to say, it looks really good from the pictures. Seems fairly simple to do as well.

Ah! I thought he was talking about a color change.

I might have to give that stuff a try.

What type of guarantee did the wrapper provide, if any? Waht brand of wrap product did you use?

Photos can't show the real outcome of the wrap. It does look nice.

I think it looks like a sports car now (Jaguar's GT3). I am biased somewhat with 3 white cars and the Harley that was matte black, now Carrera White.

That is a good price also. I have a customer in Miami that just had his Murcielago wrapped white (was black) for $3500.

A woman with a great sense of humor is indeed rare. Also being a gearhead puts you on my list of endangered species.

Thanks for being on the forum and your thoughtful and knowledgeable posts.

Be sure to read the reviews before you buy and apply this crap. This stuff sells for about $23.00 per can. You get what you pay for.

Why would anyone want to put a product that costs $23.00 on a $100,000+ priced premium automobile.

Looks fantastic, especially with the black grilles, louvres and side vents. I also like that you kept the bottom lip below the lower front grille black too.

Any chance of some bigger pictures?

My partner had his 14 Aventador roadster front end done with a clear bra and it was $2300. Guess its all in what you view the value at.

The cost of the end product for film shield for a clear bra is rather inexpensive. This is a labor intensive job, and takes someone that has experience in applying the product, thus the reasoning for an expensive job.

There can be no doubt that there can be no comparison between a $22.00 can of spary coating vs. the actual clear bra film product.

I inquired about this in Dubai too, the XK wrap would go up to 3200USD but with the sun here it is advised to only leave it for a max of 2 years.. so given price/time I decided to keep my silver looks..

(although I think it would be stunning in blue or so..)

Good decision........I live in the desert Southwest of the USA and our sun is a real killer on wood, vinyl, outdoor plastics etc. I am sure the intense sun would make the color in the wrap fade quickly.

I don't like the way clear bra feels and it makes using clay bar & wax more time consuming.
