Default Jaguar Journal Book Recomendation.

The new issue of Jaguar Journal had an article for a new book about the XK/XKR so I ordered it. Looks like it will be interesting.
Since my XKR just went into storage at a facility a few towns away for the winter I hope this will take a little of the sting out of not having it FOR ALMOST SIX MONTHS!!!! (I hate winter) When I get it I'll let you know if it was worth it.

I see that's an 'updated' version with 6 more pages than the 2015 original.

And I have it, very disappointing. A lot of stuff on the X100, the X150 part seems like an afterthought (and cover picture) to sell more books. I actually complained to the publisher, the cover is X150, XK8 is not mentioned, so people would think it's about the X150, but it really isn't. They gave me a giftcard...

That does not sound promising.

I have it. It's ok. Same comment as No Quarter. Cool to have though. Hopefully the 6 added pages are on the X150

Neil Thorley also wrote 'The Complete Book of Jaguar' published in 2019 , 225 pages by Quarto Pub. Group.USA, printed in China!!................but excellent read & quality;I am not sure of price, it was a gift.
Covers all models 1935 thru 2018.

Enjoy! Cheers, Adrian, Founder Member Seattle Jaguar Club.

I'm suprised you were both disappointed with the book. I have the original You and Your Jaguar XK8 published in 2006 and the first edition of the one under discussion here which was published in 2015. I enjoyed both and use the later one quite regularly to check facts for posts on the forum.

I must add, for technical coverage, Nigel Thorley's Jaguar - All the Cars, now in the fourth edition, is my favourite. I had hoped he would have spent 'lockdown' more wisely by writing a fifth edition!
